About

Our son has been going to Gaving and Grayson at UpRock for over a year now and loves it plus is making great progress. This is all due to the great instruction and how the staff relate to younger students and they make it both fun and interesting personalizing the songs to the kids tastes and generally demonstrating a passion for their role as instructors. I am very impressed and would have no hesitation in recommending UpRock for your guitar lessons.

About

Patient, positive oriented, individualized instruction in guitar, electric bass, upright bass and piano lessons in all aspects, styles and levels of music. I put my heart and soul into my teaching. Instruction combines traditional teaching techniques, fun songs, and the latest research on the psychology and neuroscience of learning music. Teaching is both an art and science, as each student has their own learning style and I'm sensitive to when the student understands the material before we move ahead. Music study has been shown to academic performance and increase intelligence. Einstein credited his abilities with learning the violin as a child. It is the greatest gift a parent can give their child or to keep your mind sharp and growing. It's never too late to start. Lessons are energetic, enthusiastic and incorporate your goals. Early lessons feature fun songs and then gradually expand into other areas. Everyone learns to read and understand music. Music theory and ear training as a natural outcome of lessons. While guitar students start with fun songs, most students really enjoy learning classical guitar as part of their program. I also introduce blues as it's a great way to learn how to play lead guitar. Let your inner Eric Clapton shine! Advanced students also learn jazz and improvisation as well as expand their musical horizons. Bass students learn how to make up melodic, tasty bass parts, read, play by ear, and the magical experience of synchronizing with a drummer and become the pulse of any ensemble. Naturally, if you want to rock out, play funky rhythms, I have you covered. Piano students start with proven excellent methodologies and students have fun learning to improvise as a way of understanding theory and jamming. Lessons include both popular songs and classical pieces. I welcome students of all ages and levels. Columbia University: MA Music and Music Education Certified Music Teacher. Member of the Davis Music Teachers Association.

I offer weekly lessons for piano, voice, guitar and flute in a beautiful, well-equipped studio. Each student has unique and specific goals, and I make it my mission to help them succeed. The lessons encompass sight-reading, ear training, theory and improvisation. Performance skills are honed through regularly held recitals in a hall with a fantastic sound system and a beautiful 1920's Steinway grand piano. My current students vary greatly in terms of age and experience level, and my pricing is competitive. About

About me: Hi, my name is Aaron Asghari. Since I was a teen, when I started to play the guitar at 14, it has become my true passion. Even if I enjoyed playing the guitar from the very start, it was not always easy to advance. The private guitar instruction from an enthusiastic and dedicated guitar teacher provided me the motivation to push my skill level little by little. Private lessons provide students with the attention they need from the instructor allowing each student to make progress at their own pace. Private instruction also allows every student to go on his or her own path in terms of the topics and musical genres that are interesting them. Learning to play the guitar is unique challenge but it can be very rewarding. I enjoy teaching students discover their passion for music and in encouraging them to pursue them further. I offer guitar instruction for students at any skill level from beginner to advanced. I also teach practically any style of guitar playing. My teaching style: I firmly believe that everyone is capable of playing and enjoying music. My goal is to make the learning process informative and fun for the students. I provide a comfortable learning environment for the student. I allow the student to set his/her own pace and still push them to challenge themselves to improve their skills.
