Our granddaughter Emily, has taken voice lessons with Brigitte since she was 8. At the time, no one else we talked to would take an 8 year old. Brigitte has been wonderful. Emily loves her lessons, has learned a lot and has grown so much in vocal range and styles. Brigitte's lessons are fun yet structured. She has a ongoing plan for vocal achievement and regularly schedules performances which encourages practicing and then shows off the benefits practicing. Emily has learned much more ...although she hasn't taken piano lessons, she is always at the piano trying to play a song she just heard or needs to work on for a show and she pretty much accomplishes the task. We are so pleased with Brigitte, that Emily's younger sister has started lessons now. We will be with Brigitte for several years.
I wholeheartedly recommend vocal lessons with Mark! I leave our sessions inspired and feel I now have a priceless and foundational understanding of technique. Lessons are fun and informative. Mark is the best!
Learn how to use your voice AND have fun! In my lessons, we tie together the fundamentals of breathing and developing good practice techniques to learn more about our sound and our expression. In a typical lesson, we will focus on diaphragm exercises, being aware of your body and the different parts of your voice, and singing in a safe way that will get rid of any soreness in the throat or stress on the vocal chords. Depending on your interests, we can look at classical, jazz, folk, and pop styles, and sing duets to develop your ear for harmony and the ability to hold your part. All ages welcome! Safe singing lessons for kids available! Training: Kaila has studied with incredible masterminds Marcia Miget, Thomas Young, Hilda Harris, and Glenn Alexander. As a student at San Rafael High School in California, she sang with the Advanced Jazz Choir and played flute with the Advanced Jazz Band, winning several awards at the Folsom and Santa Cruz Jazz Festivals. Kaila graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a degree in Jazz Studies, and studied Opera Singing at the Instituto Superior de Artes abroad in Cuba. She has taught private and group singing lessons to children and adults with much success for the past several years, and currently works at Red House Music School in Walnut Creek. Kaila sings, plays keys, and writes for the indie pop band Big Tree.
I cannot possibly recommend Rebecca highly enough. I had a lot of paranoia about my (lack of) ability to sing, so much that I had to spend some time getting to know Rebecca in other contexts (we were coworkers for awhile) before I was brave enough to ask her for voice lessons. Now, I'm so glad I did ask, because the lessons are fabulous. Rebecca is never anything but encouraging, helpful, and supportive. She always finds ways to challenge me without letting me get discouraged. I'm becoming a much better singer (people no longer politely wince when I put the radio on in the car and sing along), but what makes the difference to me is that something that used to be scary is now fun. (Okay, still occasionally scary, but in a good way.) This Studio has been great for me!

After I began taking singing lessons/ learning the SLS technique I have definitely grown more confident in myself and my voice, all thanks to Masha Campagne. As a teacher, Masha really wants her student to do their best, and does everything to make sure that a student feels comfortable. I love learning from Masha because we pick the songs we work on together and I got to try such a great variety of styles, without just sticking to one of them. Masha really respects her students and she believes that every person can make progress regardless of whether they are starting to take lessons with her having zero experience or whether they've been taking singing lessons for all of their life. Masha loves her work and singing in general and all that energy is truly inspiring, and I am really grateful to be taking lessons from her!
Voice Lessons - Learn how to sing! I am an opera singer and I teach and perform in and around San Francisco. I love teaching and sharing my knowledge of singing and the musical arts with others. I believe with the right instruction and determination anyone has the ability to sing! I have training in classical singing as well as in musical theater, pop/rock, gospel and blues. In order to sing these different styles it is important to know how the voice works functionally so that it is trained properly and remains healthy. I use the Somatic Voicework - The LoVetri Method because it is a body-based method of vocal training which draws from many disciplines, and is based upon voice science and medicine as well as traditional classical vocal training. It can be used for almost any singing genre such as musical theater, pop/rock, jazz, blues, and opera. I believe that learning how to sing is not only fun but also increases confidence, improves general music skills, and develops mind/body coordination skills. I provide voice lessons for all levels, ages 8 and up. I believe everyone has the ability to sing and the potential to use their body as an instrument. Lessons are fun and rewarding and beneficial for improving music skills, expanding the range, developing vocal stamina and quality, and increasing confidence. How Lessons Work: Lessons consist of breath and body work, vocal warm-ups and exercises, and work on songs. These skills can help any singer become more aware of their voice and how their body works as an instrument. Students are trained, like an athlete, to build up vocal strength and stamina to sing songs and styles of their choice. Recitals: In addition to private lessons I host student voice recitals twice a year. Performing in the recitals is not required but encouraged. This gives students the opportunity to perform in front of family and friends and to share their lovely voice with others!
