I taught as a sub-teacher for the past 6 years. I've been teaching reading, writing, arts and dance, theatre, visual, all common core subjects, and special education (elementary, junior high, senior high and adult school) full-time since 1996. My full credentials include Fresno County schools, consisting of Prather, Kerman, Fresno Unified and Madera. I've worked 10 years at the Fresno County Library and Fresno City, respectively. I love to tutor one-on-one and see immediate improvement in attitude, learning engagement and focus, raise interest in all subjects, student status and family community involvement.
I truly care about each child and want them to learn so they can improve to the best of their ability.
We live in a sink or swim day and age, literally and figuratively. While it is important to teach kids to swim, I also love the character-building part of a lesson. Trusting someone who truly cares and has good intentions, overcoming a fear of something you "can't" do and turning it into a passion for something that is healthy. Swimming isn't just an action -- it's a time to get to know yourself.
My work stands out because each client gets to mirror proper techniques to perform every exercise properly. Changing people's lives one exercise at a time!
My name is Kevin Richards. I pitched at Kerman High School and graduated in 2008. Then to West Hills College in College for JC. I then transferred and played at CSU East Bay. I am here to teach, modify and create a perfect pitch routine and environment for each individual pitcher. I enjoy one on one settings, but will work with kids who work well together.
