FAQs
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking for a Piano Teacher make sure the teacher has extreme patience. We sit with students all day listening to mistakes and the same music over and over again. A good teacher understands it's par for the course and doesn't let that affect their mood or personality while teaching. Piano doesn't have to be The Finger Olympics. Make sure that the teacher you choose pushes/challenges your child but doesn't push so hard that they begin to get frustrated with the instrument and want to quit before they have ever gotta a chance to really experience the true magic of learning to play the piano. Lastly, and most importantly! Make sure the teacher you choose encourages your child. Piano is a hard instrument. Young students need to feel as if they are accomplishing something with this instrument. They will have trying times with it. You need a teacher who knows how to handle this and can make the student feel good about what they are doing even when they are not doing so well. Enabling the student to learn from the experience and still enjoy what they are learning with a boosted self-esteem.
