- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $40/ 30min. 50$/45min and $60/hr First lesson/evaluation is half off, no obligations. Offer 10% discount when pay for 8 weeks of lessons at a time. Currently teaching mostly remotely over Zoom/Facetime and local to the Westside of Los Angeles.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I start the first evaluation/lesson finding out the strengths and goals of the student. I like to establish good rapport with the student and, for online lessons, establish a rhythm for how the online lesson will go. At the end of the lesson I will start recommending a general direction for the lessons and what kind of song repertoire we'll start learning. I can also work with the parents to help recommend the right instruments within their price range if they do not already have the necessary instruments.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Classical Voice Technique background, being trained for 4 years. I also am also finishing up my last year obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Vocal Performance. I have been teaching music to kids for over 8 years, including private lessons and groups classes at a few music schools over the last 2 years. I also have an extensive background in working with young kids outside of just music for 11 years.
