Calvan Plays Bass

Introduction: Calvan Christ is a bass guitarist and educator with over two decades of performance experience, and 10+ years experience as a music instructor and mentor. Calvan was a student of the jazz studies program at the University of Oregon, and he enjoys studying, playing, and teaching all styles of music from jazz standards to modern progressive metal and everything in between. He currently plays in bands local to San Diego, CA, and is available for one-on-one mentoring and lessons on bass guitar and guitar. Calvan works with all skill levels from beginner to advanced players of all ages that want to improve technique and/or learn music theory and song writing. Lessons are approached from the ground up, and are designed to help players be able to jam with friends immediately, as well as learn the foundations of music theory and utilize them in everyday playing. For advanced players, there is more emphasis on complex music theory concepts and advanced playing techniques.
