FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Nope, we keep things simple and affordable for the masses. Usually $40 for most basic PC repairs, computer cleanup, restoration of windows and installation of Antispyware, Antimalware & Antivirus software and more. If customer brings PC, Mac or mobile device to our shop, they only pay the standard repair fees. When we have to go to the client site, we have to add additional cost of $20 to cover the high cost of gasoline and mechanical wear on our vehicles. For more massive work such as backup of files onto External Hard drives or DVDs, installation of new hardware, installation of new hard drive, formatting, installing windows and doing the hundreds of updates, it would cost $50 to $60 or more depending on the many hours of labor and parts costs. Prices for clean up of malware and spywares is usually $30. Other items as hardware component installs (hard drives, video cards, Wireless cards, RAM memory upgrades, etc)... $20. Prices quoted for File scanning, depends on amount of files and volume of paper work, and removal of staples, paper clips, carbon copies, etc. and digitizing files to PDF, Word or other format and storage of files on archival DVDs or hard drives. The more files there are the greater the discount on volume scanning. We like to keep prices low so most people can afford our services.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes we do. We always try to keep up with the latest Windows, Apple, IOS, Android, Blackberry, Amazon mobile operating system changes. Also we keep up with the changes in the computer and mobile device industry. Technology and software always changes and evolves. So it is a real challenge to keep up and evolve with it too.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Was kind of pushed into it when I was laid off from Graphic Design work, and all the graphic design jobs had vanished in my area. Too many graphic design students and very few graphic jobs left in my city. So I had to change careers to survive or die out. I had to adapt, grow and found that my real talent was in Diagnosing and fixing computers more than graphic design. I still do some limited graphic design work, but the bulk of my work is computer hardware and software installations, upgrades, updating, diagnostics and repairs.
