great professional service very responsive and love kids enjoying Spanish lessons
wonderful voice, great with young students, has several studios locations to chose from for lessons. highly recommend!
Andi is great! I play piano but have been wanting to learn guitar for a long time. He is easy-going, knowledgeable, and was very open to hearing what I wanted to learn about in our lessons. Overall, great experience with Andi; I'm looking forward to continuing my lessons with him!
Garrick is a true professional. He has a way with my son that makes him want to play AND practice!
My girlfriend and I just got back from our first lesson and we felt that it was extremely helpful. The things that Max taught us seemed incredibly useful under the right circumstances and we felt that we came away with something valuable. We set up another month worth of lessons with Max and we're extremely excited to learn more about defending ourselves. Additionally, Max was very quick to respond to my original inquiry and a pleasure to work with on the business side of things.
I am an adult beginner and have enjoyed my piano lessons with Stella. She is friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. She offers a good balance between technique exercises and learning to play music. And, she doesn't let you give up!
David is an absolute pro. I actually refer to him as "the best teacher I've ever had, for anything." He's good at both pushing you to develop new knowledge and skills, and also supporting and re-hashing prior lessons and learnings. I'd highly highly recommend David for any aspiring or veteran guitarist, looking to greatly expand their skills.
My family has started lessons with Juan Carlos, and we're happy we found him. He's a patient teacher who structures lessons based on each student's progression and skill set. He also teaches the "right" way, i.e. fundamentals, thereby setting up students for success. It also helps that he's a nice guy and is extremely responsive with scheduling etc.
I am an adult piano learner. I started learning basic piano techniques about 1 year and 3 months ago from some other teacher. After about 10 months learning, I started feeling frustrated and not progressing at all. I don't want to give up on piano and hence decided to look for another teacher for a second try. And that's when I found Cheryl, which proves to be a super great find. Cheryl has a really good training system/process for beginners. She had me focused on my finger techniques in my first couple of lessons and after that, I started playing some beautiful melodies together with the finger training. I could clearly see my progress through the time. She has a high standard on passing each song, so every time I completed one, I felt really happy about the outcome. And Cheryl's class is much more than just the techniques, but also the music understanding, the music theory or history behind each melody. I enjoy every class with Cheryl and always look forward to the next one. Cheryl used to teach professional music students back in China. I felt really lucky to have her as my piano teacher. She is a really great and professional teacher and a very nice person. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn piano, especially those who want to learn it seriously.
Wow, Ann has been great! I've never taken any voice lessons before, and in fact, I'm a terrible singer! The reason why I wanted to take lessons was because I've always wanted to be able to sing at least one song decently. So, I was nervous going to my first lesson with a professional voice coach. She was very friendly, and put me at ease immediately. She casually taught me about the basics, and asked me a lot of questions to get to know me. Once she realized I had no prior experience, she got right to work! She made the lessons fun, but also full of new things to learn. I've only had a couple of lessons so far, but I'm already noticing a big difference!!! And I'm an absolute beginner! Sometimes she sings for me to show me techniques, and she blows me away with her singing! I can imagine that even professional singers would get a lot out of taking lessons from her! She notices even the tiniest of details about your voice and makes note and suggests ways to improve! I definitely recommend!
I started piano lessons with Toby in January 2017. Toby is one of the best teachers I have ever known. She is incredibly patient, well-organized, and customizes lessons to fit each student's unique needs. I am a Chopin lover and Toby specializes in Romantic period composers like Chopin. She truly cares about the progress of her students. Toby lets her students choose their pieces and she often plays select classical pieces to inspire and push me. I am starting a beginning intermediate Chopin piece already as she has really inspired me to practice and improve. She has also played some of her original compositions which are beautiful. She is a virtuoso pianist. I feel so lucky to have her as a teacher. Don't hesitate to contact her for lessons.
My son loves piano lessons with Laura!
I've been playing guitar by myself for a couple of years through tabs/video lessons etc. My progress has exponentially increased since Sedat has started teaching. He is one of the most patient and polite teachers I've seen.He was very quick to gauge my understanding of music and the instrument and planned my lessons accordingly. I have been trying to understand music theory for a while. Sedat's lessons are an amalgam of theory, technique (finger exercises) and songs. I'm finally able to understand what I'm playing rather than just learning through tabs. He has a wide knowledge of different techniques used in many genres (Rock, Jazz, Blues, Fusion etc) and can help his student improve their craft in the style they love. Needless to say, he's a brilliant guitarist himself. I once attended one of his concerts and it was amazing. I've struggled with self-learning through various means but learning with Sedat has been a huge positive enforcement in my guitar playing. His versatility with his music and patience with the students makes him an amazing teacher and I'd recommend students of all levels and age to learn from him.
I'm having a lot of fun! The hour just slips by and my monologue improves tremendously from the start of the lesson. It's also one-on-one so I get all the attention I need.
I have known Lynn for 35 years and you cannot ask for a better piano teacher. Lynn started teaching me piano 35 years ago, and now she is teaching my daughter. Lynn is extremely caring, knowledgeable and passionate. Our daughter has flourished since beginning piano lessons with Lynn 2 years ago; she is playing advanced songs that most students her age wouldn't be able to play. Lynn makes learning piano fun, and our daughter enjoys practicing daily without us having to remind her. We are very happy to have Lynn as our teacher, and would encourage anyone interested in piano to call her first.
Great teacher with patience and support with student’s learning speed. He’s very knowledgeable in various classical pieces that I inquire about. I’ve recommended him to many of my friends for lessons and parties. :-))
My daughters (5 and 12 years old) and I have been taking piano lessons with Kathy for 10 months now. She's very punctual and friendly. We can see that Kathy uses different approaches when teaching my 5yo and 12yo (who have different personality and experience level in piano), and her teaching methods are effective to both kids. As a dad, I also enjoy taking lessons with Kathy as she is experienced in teaching adults as well. I can't practice regularly and sometimes find it hard to keep up, but Kathy is patient and helps me set up learning goals. Kathy also selected materials that are good for parents and kids learning together. Now I am able to play duets with my daughters and we have so much fun playing piano together. Thank you Kathy! You're the best teacher we've got :)
I have been taking Spanish lessons from Ms. Price. She is incredibly personable, knowledgeable and helpful. My Spanish skills have soared since I've started with her. Very friendly, she is an excellent teacher. She knows where weak points are and knows how to explain advanced subjects in a way which is very understandable. I am definitely going to continue lessons and I highly recommend Ms. Price to anyone who is seeking to improve their language skills.
Sarah participated in the St. John's choir and also took private vocal lessons with Emily to improve her singing and confidence. We found Emily to be fun, responsible, engaging, and we saw great improvements in Sarah's abilities during her time with Emily. Additionally, I will emphasize that Emily has great skill in working with a variety of personalities, including expert skills in working with special needs kids.
We have been working with Ms. White since January 2016. My boys, ages 6 and 7 walked out of their very first lesson knowing “Mary Had A Little Lamb” and this quick, concrete “take away” gave them a sense of excitement and confidence! Ms. White is very thoughtful with her instruction. She has realistic and responsive goals--like helping accommodate a variety of sports seasons and understanding the difference between her student’s temperament and attention span. She has nurtured an intrinsic and age appropriate interest and exposure to the world of piano playing. My boys pick up and play piano on their own and they love teaching their father and me their new skills. I would highly recommend Ms. White for piano lessons.
I began receiving lessons from Miss Kathleen when I was in the 4th grade. She has been my private tutor for the past 8 years, and we only recently stopped having lessons due to her move. She has played a very big role in becoming the musician I am today. With her help and instruction, I participate in my school's highest orchestra, in the Capitol Symphonic Youth Orchestra, and in events such as District Orchestra. She has always inspired and encouraged me to pursue my music related aspirations and, because of that, I plan on studying music in college and pursue it as a career. I can't imagine what I would have done with out her. Over the years of lessons, she has become more than just a teacher. She is my close friend who I continue to go to for advice.
