Emily of Hair Off The Dog And Cats Too was very professional. She arrived on time and was quick to set up and go to work. Emily did the job exactly to my liking without me having to give direction and it was done at a reasonable price. I would hire her again and would recommend her to others.

The ladies were working with a very scared cat and were very kind and caring. The finished job was absolutely beyond my expectations.

I'm so glad I hired Pacific Grooming mobile. Since it was my kitty's first grooming I wanted to be relaxing, and Sandy made it possible. When I went to pick my cat from the van it seem so relaxed and clean. Sandy also took the time to email me some tips in how to keep my cat and apt. flea free. It was so nice to have my pet's grooming done right outside my home, one on one. I loved the experience and will definitely hire Pacific Grooming Pet Salon again.....:)

My dog is pretty picky about who he likes and who he trusts ...... so I knew that Lisa was great from the instant that she met us outside her home. Rocket immediately went over to her as if she were an old friend, then he just about dragged me into Lisa's home! I felt 100% comfortable leaving my beast in Lisa's care ..... which says a lot because we've had really bad experiences with other sitters in the past and with kennels too (our dog isn't the easiest to handle). Rocket seems to really enjoy the time he spends at Lisa's house and is always happy to be back, dragging us along her front path to get to her door each time he comes to stay. The only warning .....Lisa has four cats, so if your dog doesn't get along with the feline species, then Lisa is not for you!

We had an excellent experience with the team at Four your paws only! My Newfi came back looking wonderful. They were very patient with him as he was very afraid of the whole grooming process. It is very challenging for most people to work with a 150lb dog but they had no issues. Thank you so much for everything!

Serena has been our dog groomer now for a year. She is so patient and sweet with the dogs. Mimi, our Corgi fluff, had a bad first experience with a different mobile groomer, so she was a bit nervous for her first visit with Serena. That visit, and every one since has been wonderful. The dogs now just jump into the trailer for their baths and hair cuts. Serena has a great understanding of dogs, and a love for animals in general, and it shows in her work. I have such confidence in her that I even called her to come out to shear a pet sheep for me! I would never use any other groomer for my animals.

Joel provided an outstanding experience for both myself and my two doxies. He arrived promptly, confirmed the services he'd perform and asked if there were any other requirements, and asked (as this was the first time meeting the dogs) if there were any issues he should know about (temperament, health issues, etc.). I noted that each had dark nails that had been a challenge for previous groomers (one nicely turning them away in fear of grinding too far, which I appreciated). Grooming them one by one, each immediately sensed a level of comfort with Joel. When he returned each to the house door, their approval over the experience was obvious in their eyes and tail (bright and wagging). Nails were as short as ever previously grinded. Finishing in the allotted time, Joel reported that the entire session for each went very well. An overall excellent experience all around, I heartily recommend Aussie Pet Mobile to all south Orange County dog and cat owners!

I've been bringing my Yorkie, Erma, to see Adrian for over two years now. She has consistently provided great haircuts and she is always happy to talk to me about new styles if I’m looking for a change. Her grooming skills are matched only by how much she clearly cares for the animals that she works with. She even takes the time to discuss products that can help with issues like my pets’ sensitive skin or stomach problems. After prior years of feeling guilty dropping my anxious pup at loud grooming salons, I am so thankful to now have the peace of mind that she is receiving the calm one on one experience that I want for her. She's a much happier dog after groomings now! Adrian is really everything that I could want in a groomer. I’ll never go to anywhere else as long as she’s here!

I have taken my dogs to Waggin Tails for over 20 years for grooming and daycare....They are the best! Kathie, Sandra and Lupe treat all their clients, both 2 and 4 legged like family. The haircuts are great and the dogs all are happy to spend their day at Waggin Tails. A definite gem in the valley!

Every time I go into the Doggie Spa it always smells good, looks clean, staffs always friendly. I wouldn't want to leave my kids anywhere else. You can just tell they love animals. Also, anytime I ask to adjust my haircuts the groomers always listen and do what I want and help my babies look good. Plus you cannot beat that price! Cheapest Dog Grooming in the inland empire.

We were going on a two-week trip to Europe and needed someone to care for our cats. We have always left them in the care of family and friends but two weeks seemed like too much of an imposition so we thought about hiring a professional. We were a little apprehensive about someone we didn't know coming into our house and caring for our babies (I've read horror stories). My daughter, who owns a doggie daycare, highly recommended Kerstyne, the Fairy Dogmother (who also loves kitties). We could not have been more pleased with her caring service. When we returned, it was immediately obvious that Kerstyne did more than throw food at them and clean their boxes. It was clear she spent time actually playing with them and loving them up. Usually, when we return from even a short trip, we get the cold-shoulder for a few days. With the Fairy Dogmother on the job, I'm not sure they noticed we were gone. My only complaint is that she has moved all the way across the country since then and now I can't take advantage of her excellent care. But YOU can and I strongly recommend it. :)

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Do cats have to get groomed?

It’s not crazy to have your cat groomed. Grooming will keep your cat’s fur soft and silky as well as give you early warning about any health concerns. Regular grooming can also help reduce the volume of hair your cat may be shedding and keep your longhair kitty cool if you live in a warm climate. Professionals competently groom your cat and are trained to manage them if they resist being groomed, while you may get scratched doing the same task. The national average price for cat grooming is $50-$70. Pet grooming prices may vary based on the task. For example, a bath and brush for shorthair cats may be $15, $20 for medium-hair cats, and $25 for a longhair. Cat groomers can also keep your cat’s ears cleaned, trim their nails, and provide haircuts if needed. Average prices for haircuts can vary from $30 to $95 or more, depending on whether the cat is shy or aggressive and whether their coat is in good condition, matted, or otherwise difficult to groom.

Where can you get your cat groomed?

Cat grooming keeps your cat’s fur tangle-free and clean. Most businesses that offer dog grooming or general pet grooming also offer cat grooming; some businesses even specialize solely in cat grooming. Look for a professional who has training grooming cats or belongs to a professional association such as the National Cat Groomers Institute, because cat grooming techniques can be different than for dogs. Cat grooming can encompass a wide range of services. In addition to haircutting, hair detangling and hairstyling, cat groomers can trim cat nails, clean out your cat’s ears, give flea baths, demat, trim facial fur, bathe and even blow-dry your cat. Health safety and etiquette requires your cat to be in good health and have all their vaccinations before using grooming services.

How much should cat grooming cost?

Keeping your cat groomed is an important part of maintaining their good health. The national average cost for cat grooming ranges between $50 and $70, with prices varying based on where you live and the services you request. Your cat’s temperament can also affect grooming prices. Scratching and hissing during a groomer visit can raise rates an average of $5-$10, or more, as hazard pay. Larger cats and long-haired cats that take longer to groom will also usually cost more. Here are some examples of cat grooming average costs:

      • Shave down or lion cut: $35-$60. These cuts preserve the hair around the face and tip of the tail but shave down the entire body. The lion cut is often recommended for extremely matted hair is exceedingly matted, for extreme heat, or for cats who are suffering from hairballs.
      • Ear cleaning and nail trim: $30.
      • Nail trim: $10-$15.
      • Bath and nail trim: $45.
      • Bath and sanitary trim: $55. A sanitary trim clips the hair on a cat’s behind to prevent fecal matting in longhair cats or cats that have mobility issues.
      • Bath, blow-dry, brush out, nail trim and ear cleaning: $40.
      • Full haircut, bath, and nail trim: $45-$95, depending on matting.
Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
