By far the greatest instructor I have worked with. I have been playing drums for 6 years. I finally reached a point were I felt like I need something more. I wasn't able to advance anymore on my own. I tried a few teachers in bakersfield, all of them had very little advice and these are all highly regarded instructors in my local market. I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing from my playing. I then found iVo, and I can't explain how lucky I was to find such an amazing teacher. The first time I met iVo he asked what my goals were, what i was hoping to accomplish by taking lesson. I explained that i want to take lessons so I can reach a new level in my drumming, to become a professional. He had me sit down and play for a minute and within that time he was able to dissect my technique and skill level. Since then iVo has made a "lesson plan" that is catered to me. It's never here's lesson one from this book, and now lesson two. He explains things in ways that I can relate to them, so it makes for better understanding of what he is teaching. Honestly I could probably go on for days about iVo and his amazing school. But, I'll leave it at this, for the last year I have driven 200 miles round trip every week just to take lessons with iVo and I won't be stopping any time soon.

I have been playing music for close to 20 years now learning various instruments. I have always been self taught. When I recently joined a band to play drums, I realized it would be nice to have a good foundation. Although the music I play is simple indie rock music, what Ivo taught me has really made a difference. The techniques are great, but what he really encourages, is to play from the heart and not be afraid of expression. Ivo's teaching methods are clear and to the point. He inspires me to have fun and get really good at playing drums all at the same time.
