Lois has a great ability to adapt to the student's needs. I love her teaching methods, developed by her based in all her years of experience teaching english. I've experienced a really fast improvement with pronunciation, which was my number one concern. I've really enjoyed her classes and I totally recommend her!

I am writing as a PhD student, who two MA degrees and a fellow in the Writing Program at a Top 20 University. I have experience editing for an interdisciplinary journal, publishing, translated/edit for lawyers and business professionals and PBS, and teaching many courses at the college level. When it came time to find an editor for a project I am very dedicated to and which is theoretically and historically complex, I had a hard time finding someone whose capabilities I trusted, who could provide a quick turn around of my document, and maintain a friend yet professional level of communication. Temi is that person. No, she is not a friend of mine; No, I have not used thumbtack before; No, I dont tend to spend my time writing reviews. Simply put: her work compares to company's that quoted me at literally four times the cost, she has talent, is flexible, and responsible. She is comfortable receiving payment by Paypal or Venmo---amongst other official options. Overall, editing with Temi has been an ideal experience.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. For a kid who does not traditionally "get" mathematics, Jeff did a fantastic job helping him to grasp the concepts taught in his class, and went above and beyond in every way!

Sarah helped my son to pass his Algebra M03 class at Moorpark College after failing the first time. My son struggled with math in high school and generally has an aversion to the subject. We hired Sarah and he not only passed but earned a B grade! Sarah is very kind and considerate and cares about her students. We will be using her again.

Awesome teacher😀. We started out with lessons for my small children Elsa made learning so much fun for them with games and post-it's throughout the house. My children learned quickly and we fluent before they took Spanish in school. So impressed with Elsa I later hired Elsa to teach my husband and I Spanish. Elsa's approach helped us also learn quickly. We love her she is kind, patient and so much fun. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Spanish. Wally P

Nuria Fortier was my Spanish teacher for fall 2014 through the International Language School for Children and Adults. I am an adult, beginner level spanish language student with some previous beginner coursework. Our Saturday morning one-hour classes are held at Pitzer College and ran from September through December into January. I am very impressed with Nuria's language instruction. She meets the students where he/she is in their learning, yet also helps you to challenge yourself (for example speaking as much as possible in Spanish during lesson). She stresses the importance of grammar and verb conjugation structures within conversational Spanish lesson. She constructs lessons so that we come into contact with verbs and then we address the conjugation. She recommended two very good books for beginner level that we use during the lesson, and also introduces fun story reading (at children's level which is actually very good for beginner adult learner). Nuria is very professional and reliable, and encouraging for an adult language learner! Nothing negative to report. Nuria has also created a local Spanish speaking group of current and former students who meet to practice Spanish and I am looking forward to joining this group. Thank you Nuria! I recommend ILSCA and Nuria Fortier for Spanish language. Her Children's programs are also very well attended.

Me being a high school student taking AP classes is a difficult challenge. This was especially true when sophomore year came around when I took AP Biology and thought it would be easy. I was proven wrong when those first few grades came and AP was not looking good. I knew and my mom knew that we need help. That's when we found Fred. I can say that this experience truly helped me a lot. After a while I began to actually understand the material which was proven on how my AP grade improved. If someone were to ask me who would I recommend for tutoring then Fred is the person you are searching for. One thing you can sure expect is be preapered to work hard and give your all.

I have known Mr. Pestle for several years. He is extremely passionate about teaching, theater, acting, and writing—this shows in every aspect of his work, especially his theater productions and English classes. His encouragement, enthusiasm, and humor make him an excellent mentor. I have enjoyed learning from Mr. Pestle through discussion of literature and art! He is honest, and very easy to talk to. Mr. Pestle is awesome. I would absolutely recommend him.

I used Matthew Aria's club z for calc 1 tutoring. He and his tutors are top notch. Where previous tutors and my professors have failed Matthew Aria's Club Z has prevailed. There's nothing to hard or nothing that cannot be explained. Club z is able to break down and explain even the most difficult problems then in turn can explain it to me in way that I can understand and remember. Matthew Aria's club z has helped me so much I can even help other people in my class that are struggling. I urge anyone that needs a math tutor that will go above and beyond to help someone Matthew Aria's club z will not disappoint!!! I will never go anywhere else.

My writing improved from being someone who had big ideas for tv and films to actually having a pragmatic plan writing those ideas into reality. From bi-weekly meetings we started with my premise line. Then as the months went by we worked on my beat sheet which was strengthened into a feature length screenplay I am working on right now. I was surprised at the independence and growth I gained from working with Amy. She would look at the beginning of the year with me via video conferencing and emails, listen to my goals (i.e. I want to build a screenwriting portfolio that consists of a tv spec, original pilot and a feature length screenplay) and she would break down the weeks with sizable writing exercises that would piece together my screenplay and tv script pieces. I feel great inspiration from watching movies and want to produce movies that move others as well..but sometimes you need a "coach" to help you get from Point A to Z. Starting a writing project can be daunting and it's difficult to "get your sneakers on, tie the laces and start running." I now feel empowered with the tools to produce my stories from conception to screen. I have already finished a tv spec, pilot, essays and working on a feature length screenplay. The main thing Amy has taught me as a writer is the balance between the artistic process as well as being successful in the industry. That honing the artistic process and building a strong body of work will attract the industry professionals that will want to work with me. She does a trustworthy job of moving both these processes simultaneously. Like most artists I juggle a lot. I have a day job, I am an actor who works on various shoots, takes classes and auditions for big opportunities all while working with Amy to realize my dream of becoming a show runner and director where screenwriting will be a vital tool. Amy has a gift for tailor making a program that fits the unique individual. Despite my very busy schedule, her efficient and tailor made syllabus has encouraged me to write regularly, little by little a day which has added up to a strong writing portfolio.
