Great company to work with. Eddie, the tech called me 30 minutes before arrival and was right on time. Once arrived, he was very professional and courteous. We had carpet cleaning and tile and grout cleaning done. The tile took extra time but Eddie handled it. He even did an extra rug for us. No upsell, no BS, just great customer service. Would highly recommend.

About 2 weeks ago I hired Mr Ortiz to clean my tile and grout that hadn't been cleaned in 10 years. The difference was amazing. It looked like i had just installed new flooring. My husband was very pleased when he came home.

Very accommodating and nice couple. Pleasantly willing to do extra cleaning and help with other tasks (like moving some furniture and carpets). Cleaning was done with good attention to detail. I would hire them again!

He did an excellent job at cleaning my extra long couch and chase. My dog had urninated on the couch that day and I couldn’t get the smell out. He came to my rescue and moved his schedule around so he could come on the same day. He is such a nice man, a person that you can trust to be in your home, very sweet, cleans up after himself, and professional. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because he dry cleaned instead of steamed clean and it left a bit of a dirty mop smell on the couch. I had used Lysol wipes to try to clean my couch and maybe part of that was the smell, I don’t know. Even so, he did get the urine smell out!! I will definitely call on him again to clean my couch and chase and next time have him do steam cleaning instead. Here is a picture of my chase, the animals live on this chair so you can see he brought it back to life!

He is friendly and brings good energy with him. He provided a very thorough and meticulous cleaning to the house, especially with the cleaning of the tile grout and stains on the counter tops. He even went the extra step to reorganize our towels to look more presentable to our guests. :)

My husband and I recently bought a house and we were told 2 months in, that the grout in-between the floor tiles needed to be sealed. By this point, everyday living had seeped into the grout giving it a dingy appearance. I decided at the last minute (the holiday) to find service providers for this project. To my joy, Derrick Reed replied immediately and though he wasn't the only response to my service request, His reply stood out because he gave a range quote and stated that he would be willing to come out on the holiday. I was sold. I called him up and we set an appointment for 2 hrs later. Derrick and his brothers work as a business team and they were kind, professional, efficient and thorough. Not only was their quote very reasonable, they completed the product in a timely manner and offered to return if we were not satisfied with their results. Everything looked great however, and as the floor dried up, things looked even better. True to his promise, Derrick called back the next day to review the results with us and make sure we were still satisfied. Great Service! We will definitely use this company in the future for floor maintenance.

These guys rock. I have used them for 9 years. They are phenomenal. I found them in a coupon book all those years ago and stuck with them ever since. They are always there to fix the mishaps that constantly occur in my home. Between 3 kids, a cat, 2 dogs and myself and my husband, we are constantly dropping something on the carpet, dirtying up the tile/grout, staining the furniture, what have you. These guys fix everything, reasonably priced, but the work is outstanding. I trust them to leave them to work, run errands and I return. They call when they are done if I want to meet them to walk through, but I always know it is great, I have never not had the best experience. Before this company, I used an independent person who I would never trust to come back again. Air Fresh Chem Dry is trustworthy, my tile and grout and carpet is perfect every time the cleaning is done and the staff is so helpful and friendly. They are they best of the best.

-What an excellent service and talk about responsive! They were clear in their explanations in their options available for cleaning out carpet. A couple of guys had come out and had all of our carpets cleaned out within about 40 minutes time for such a reasonable price. The carpets had looked brand new after they had finished up and by the time they were through they must have picked up nearly 3 tons of dog hair!!! This is despite the fact that I vacuum atleast once a week. What a nice and deep clean. Their work was quick and efficient. I will certainly be using Payless Air Duct Cleaners the next time I need my carpets cleaned. 5 stars because all of the minor AND THE MAJOR stains were completely erased from my carpet. Job well done!

After getting many different quote from other companies, I had decided to give these guys a call and i'm glad that I did. Their quote was the most reasonable. The owner had personally taken interest in helping out with our grout cleaning project. He was a very flexible guy when we needed to delay the service. He also had a team of both professional and dependable individuals. The work was finished right on time and on budget as was promised. I would highly recommend

I had engaged these guys in cleaning both my love seat and my couch. I was delighted that I called the day before and I am satisfied with the speed in how fast these guys were able to get to my house. They came on over first thing the very next morning. They had done an excellent job of both cleaning and also throwing in some knowledge of the different treatments which exist in addition to traditional steam cleaning. I believed the price to be extremely reasonable. Great work! I will for sure be using again!

I use Magic Wand Carpet Cleaners for my 3 bedrooms, hallway and area rug in the living room. They also clean my kitchen and bathroom tile and grout whenever it needs it. Shannon is always very polite and friendly. He does a quick walk-through, briefly explains the process then gets set-up and started right away. After it dries, the carpet is always much cleaner, noticeably brighter and fresher smelling than before he cleaned it. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with Magic Wand. I've used them several times now and am always happy with the results and very reasonable pricing.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How can I get my grout clean?

Dirt, mildew and grime can make your grout lines look downright tragic. If you have the ability, DIY tile and grout cleaning is definitely doable. Your main obstacles are time, project size, availability of the right materials and effort. Your first step in tile and grout cleaning is making sure the surface area is cleaned of basic dirt and buildup and wiped down. Be sure not to use a bleach-based cleaning agent, which could react dangerously with the vinegar used in later steps.

Depending on the delicacy of your tile and grout, it may be wise to start with water and friction before proceeding to a cleaning solution. In the shower you can spray the area while brushing gently, or use a spray bottle filled with warm water on countertops or floors. If water won’t do the trick, try a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, and repeat the gentle brushing motion. This combination should begin to lift dirt and grime from the grout. For additional tile and grout cleaning power, baking soda applied directly to grout lines and sprayed with your water vinegar solution can help suds off sticky grime. If your DIY cleaning solutions aren’t doing the trick, store-bought sprays and pastes may have more cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and enjoy your sparkling clean grout.

Tile and grout cleaning supplies include:

    • Old standard or electric toothbrush
    • Stiff bristle brush
    • Spray bottle
    • White vinegar
    • Commercial grout cleaner

How much does it cost to clean tile and grout?

The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Pros may charge a flat fee or by the square foot. Rates can vary depending on the type of tile and grout you have (more delicate tiles may mean specialized products or careful handwashing), how dirty your tile and grout are, and what part of the country you are in (regional labor rates and costs to do business affect costs). For example, one floor cleaning company charges 75 cents per square foot for tile and grout cleaning for projects that permit cleaning by machine. Another company may charge $30-$50 per hour for hand-cleaning of tiles. Companies often charge a minimum fee for services to ensure their business expenses are met when they accept a job, no matter how small. In addition, a tile and flooring cleaning professional may charge added fees, such as $25 or more, to move heavy furniture or appliances.

How do professionals clean tile and grout?

If you need tile and grout cleaning and don’t have the time or mobility for scrubbing your entire house on your hands and knees, it’s time to turn to the pros. Tile and grout cleaning professionals have industrial-grade machines designed for the sole task of cleaning the porous materials of grout and tile. Typically, a cleaning pro will come out to assess the job and provide you with a quote. Often they charge per square foot (for example, 75 cents per square foot), with higher prices or an hourly rate for areas that will need hand cleaning. The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Once onsite, the pros thoroughly clean the area by wiping or sweeping down and then vacuuming up any dry dirt. Next a chemical tile cleaner is sprayed over the surface, causing dirt to loosen and adhere to the spray; the industry term for this is “suspension.” The pros then clean the floor with professional-strength machines, which often use a combination of steam, brushes and vacuum to loosen, agitate and lift entrenched dirt. Your floor is then rinsed, removing all the spray. Usually a small room can be cleaned in under an hour. Applying a sealant afterward is recommend and will also affect cost.
