Introduction: We are an Indie record label that also hand-builds custom effects and gives music lessons. Blue Skool Records is located in the heart of Silicon Valley in San Jose, California, and was founded on the simple ideal that all serious songwriters and musicians have the right to be heard. We now make effects pedals as well! Blue Skool Record's effects feature ear-tested components, point-to-point hand-wired circuits, true bypass switching (when appropriate), hand-drilled enclosures, custom graphics and paint, and PCBs made here in the USA. All the labor is painstakingly done by one tone-obsessed madman, and each circuit is ear-tested with multiple parts until every last bit of magic is gleaned from the design. While we strive for quality and consistency, each pedal is handmade from the ground up, and no two are exactly identical.
