Westside Swim Lessons

Introduction: I have been teaching private swim lessons for 12 years and have a deep passion for teaching others how to swim. I am very patient with my clients, yet know how to challenge them effectively in the water to help them improve their swimming skills more efficiently. Many adults that I teach need that time to build new neural pathways in their nervous system to achieve coordination and muscle memory if they are starting off as a non- swimmer with great fear of the water, so they need more time to adapt. People with no fear but need to learn proper technique take less time to learn, and children soak up new information like a sponge so their adaptability comes much easier than adults. What I love the most about my job is that I get to teach a life-skill that everyone should know how to do in their lives. When I accomplish teaching them how to swim, I feel I have done a good deed for the community. I get to be a teacher outside of the classroom, the water is my classroom. I have been a water baby ever since I was little so doing what I love to do and being where I love to be for my job makes me feel like i'm not working but doing a hobby as a job. It's fantastic and makes me love coming to work everyday!
