I just finished my 5th month with Steve Chen, and I very much recommend him to you if you want to get in the best shape of your life. I originally sought Steve out to help me put on muscle and drop some fat around my ab region. Started from our initial consultation, Steve really took the time to understand my goals, interests, and motivation so that he could design a fitness coaching program that would get me shredded. I'm really grateful and appreciate how attentive Steve is during our sessions, he always fix my form and give me extra insight about the exercises we are doing. I love that Steve goes beyond simply leading me through his recommended exercises, but actually makes an effort to explain to me WHY do those workouts! Steve is incredibly fun to work with, he always keeps me on track too. I've managed to feel stronger, gain muscle AND look leaner in the mirror in the past 5 months. Thanks Steve!!!
Bill was a joy to work with. His laid-back demeanour and confidence in his own work made the environment comfortable and allowed me to fully enjoy his treatment. He not only was a capable masseuse, but was able to provide advice on how to stay flexible and loose using home treatments. I loved the focus on flexibility in addition to standard massage therapy practice, and will definitely consider Bill again in the future for my sports-health-related needs.
My fiance and I have been working with Maria for 3+ months. She's amazing! Her workouts are a challenging but fun mix of TRX, plyometrics and intervals. We've become stronger, more lean and we actually look forward to working out each week!
Harold is an amazing personal trainer. He will keep you engaged during your workouts and goes the extra step to keep your motivation up, when he isn't training you. Harold also gives great nutritional advice - his recommendations and creativity with meals made my whole 28 week program easy... And I mean LITERALLY easy. I never felt like I was too restricted with my meals! Overall, a personal trainer is supposed to teach you how to train and guide you along the way as you progress... But if you want a trainer that can turn your regular average Joe into an athlete, Harold is the man for the job. Book him. You won't regret it. Not to sound cliche, but Coach Hashim @ Plant Powered Fitness literally changed my life! I just completed a 90 day fitness program and lost 17lbs and 3% body fat. That may not seem like much to some, but what l learned about health, nutrition and myself along the way was invaluable. Adopting the vegan lifestyle (even if only temporarily) can seem daunting initially, but Coach Hashim helped me to realize why doing so was so important not only for myself, but for my family and the environment as well. I have struggled with my weight for years and could never find a lifestyle that would allow me to lose the weight and keep it off. His knowledge of health and fitness made me reconsider everything I've learned about food over the years and gave me a different perspective on what is possible and important in my life. The meal plans are simple, easy to follow and surprisingly delicious! I discovered new favorite dishes along the way and even my kids are enjoying some of the newfound foods and ingredients. Not being much of a cook, it is very rewarding to be able to prepare meals for my family that I know are not only tasty, but extremely nutritious as well. The workouts - I for one love a good challenge and there's no exception here! Plant Powered Fitness has a great variety of routines that are scheduled for each day of the week so you always know what to expect and the PPF app makes it super easy to follow. I left a pool of sweat on the floor after every workout and before long, I began to look forward to getting to the gym (which was new for me). Of course, when taking on a new lifestyle it's not always pretty...there were definitely times when I lost my way and Coach Hashim provided great motivational support over the phone, through custom videos and was always accessible via the private Facebook group. Overall, my experience with PPF has been great! I have more energy, I feel stronger, I don't have that bloated feeling after meals, I feel lighter on my feet and have a mental clarity I never experienced before. A big thanks to Coach Hashim for the motivation to live a healthier life!
My body took a big change really fast. The work-outs were fast and very productive. David has some signature workouts that I have not seen before. He almost becomes part of your weekly life. I have sent a few friends that had trainers before and not showing much results he took them to the next level in no time. I highly recommend him.
Ann has been working with two of us for the past two months. Each session is a progression and is mixed so that you get cardio, resistance and balance. It has been surprising how far we have come in such a short period of time and the routines are getting tougher as we get fitter. Ann also personalizes the sessions to our levels of fitness and, in fact, has made adjustments to accommodate recovery from an operation. Ann has a warm and encouraging style, but is tough and challenges you to keep going. She seems to know exactly how much you can achieve. The sessions go quickly as Ann mixes them up and keeps them fun. We would recommend Ann.
EJ has been an impressive trainer. He has exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Not only is he incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, he is also very down to earth. EJ is able to push/motivate me, while answering all my questions. He checks in frequently and always makes time for his clients. After years of a sedentary life (school and a demanding job), I decided back into a fitness routine and set some challenging fitness goals for myself that I can't back out of. As I got more active and started training, I developed knee pain and a host of other issues. I just felt I was getting no where with the way I was training. Working out on my own just didn't seem to be working, as I would be in so much pain after the workouts. Luckily, I found EJ, and he was able to explain whats going on with my body and was able to set me up on an exercise regime that was specific to my needs. EJ's knowledge in the area of physiology is amazing. He was able to assess why I was in so much pain, and create workouts are geared towards dealing with those issues as well as progressing my athleticism. I can see my body changing! I'm able to work out with a lot less pain and I can feel myself getting stronger. I have no doubt that working with EJ will be able to help me/motivate me in returning to an active lifestyle.
I've been working with Liz for nearly a year now. And she has helped me through a couple different phases in my life. When we first met, she coached me with a custom program to my lowest body fat % (which was the goal). I never felt so healthy - and was ready for a tri I planned to compete in. Then the gears shifted when I became pregnant. Liz coached me through the entire pregnancy - and I can honestly say it's because of her that I've had a relatively easy time of it. Staying fit while pregnant is very important, but you need to be careful. Liz knew just what to do. She has both the medical & fitness knowledge to keep me & baby safe and in shape. That knowledge applies to everything - whether you are recovering from an injury, have imbalances in your body, or have aches/pains and don't know why. I plan to continue working with Liz as I enter mommy-hood, and would highly recommend her to anyone. Here custom programs are top notch and her workouts are always fun/interesting. Even after a year, I look forward to seeing her every week.
