We hired Atlas General Construction to renovate our kitchen. This was our first major home project, so we wanted a contractor who could guide us through the process. Our project manager was Erick. He explained options clearly and helped us think through tradeoffs. I appreciated his suggestions throughout the project, including the decision to replace the windows. That change was not something we had planned, but it made a real difference in the finished space. The crew was well staffed and productive. When they were on site, progress was steady and visible. The team also handled uncertainty well. At the start, it was not clear how the kitchen exhaust hood would be vented. They worked through the constraints and found a solution that significantly improved airflow and met code.If we raised a concern or felt something missed the mark, it was addressed quickly. Change orders felt fair and were discussed before work moved forward. The project passed San Francisco city inspection on the first visit, which gave us confidence in the quality of the work.Overall, Atlas General Construction delivered a solid kitchen renovation and provided the kind of guidance we needed as first-time remodel clients.

Thank you so much Ryo for taking the time to share your experience. We truly appreciate your thoughtful and detailed feedback.
It was a pleasure working with you on your kitchen renovation, especially as your first major home project. Guiding clients through the process with clarity and transparency is something we take seriously, and we are glad Erick was able to support you in evaluating options and tradeoffs along the way.
We are also happy to hear that the team’s approach to problem-solving, from the window upgrade to the exhaust hood solution, helped improve both functionality and performance while meeting city requirements. Passing San Francisco inspection on the first visit is always a point of pride for our team.
Thank you again for trusting Atlas General Construction with your home. We enjoyed working with you and wish you many years of enjoyment in your new kitchen.

Highly Reliable General contractor with Unbeatable Value!!We hired Atlas for tenant improvements in Palo Altospecifically adding a room, plumbing, electric, and handling all permitting through fire and final inspections. Our Project Manager, Romando, was fantastic. He was on-site almost every day and sent us daily WhatsApp updates with pictures, so we always knew the status. They completed the entire project in just 6 weeks (a very tight timeline) and came in at nearly half the cost of the 4 other GCs we quoted. I highly recommend Atlas and their dedicated team for all commercial TI projects.

We are part way into a large remodel/addition project with Atlas (demo, foundation and a large retaining wall have been completed). We are very happy with the level of professionalism and quality of work. We have also noted that the crew has been very conscientious with regard to minimizing the impact on us as we continue to live in the home during construction. We are glad that we selected Atlas for our project! Will post follow-ups as the project progresses.
Atlas Construction's reply
Hi Pablo, thank you so much for the thoughtful review and for trusting Atlas with your home. We know living through construction isn’t easy, and we’re glad our crew’s care and cleanliness have made a difference. It’s great to hear you’re happy with the demo, foundation, and retaining wall, solid milestones for the project.
We’ll keep the same level of communication and attention to detail as we move into the next phases and inspections. If you need anything at all, please reach out to our team, we’re here for you. We appreciate you and look forward to sharing more progress soon!

I had a wonderful experience with Bill and his team. My husband and I remodeled our kitchen with significant structural changes to our home. It was tough, but Bill and Alex were very responsive to our needs (always got back to us quickly) and were encouraging when things got tough with the kids (I was very pregnant at the time also); we basically redid the entire front part of our home so it was a lot of work that took a long time because of the scope of the project, but the result is pure artistry! It's gorgeous! They are also very professional and I would work with them again!
Details: Installation of new tiling or flooring • Installation of new cabinetry or fixtures • Full remodel of existing kitchen • Yes, plumbing will need to be relocated • Yes, electrical will need to be relocated • No existing plans - need design suggestions • Residential

Bill quickly diagnosed the problem, explained to me the issue causing the problem, and fixed it in less time than I had thought possible. I was so delighted with Bill's work that I subsequently hired him and his team at Atlas General Construction for several large renovation projects.
Details: Interior door (e.g. bedroom door, closet door) • Sliding pocket door • Wood • Problems shutting the door • Problems opening the door • Problems with door swinging or sliding • Home
