FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New customers will have an initial consultation consisting of: Background health history, goal setting, exercise and goal relevant Q&A, and an assessment that helps give me a better idea of strengths, weaknesses, and imbalances. Beyond that, if the customer feels that we're a good fit, we move forward to an ongoing customized fitness program.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always admired the trainers in the first gym that I became a member of. I would follow them around and try to pickup tips on how to reach my goals, but it wasn't long before I realized that I could make my own custom workouts. Being somebody who is goal oriented and enjoys helping others, the choice for me to become a personal trainer was easy.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
A little bit of everything. I've become fairly good at helping transition people from physical therapy to strength training, so I see a lot of clients that have had some sort of back pain. I've also worked with everybody from desk jockeys and triathletes, post-partum mothers and ex-couch potatoes. In general, I truly enjoy working with people who are highly competitive and equally motivated.
