Our dishwasher would not drain despite all of the previous suspects (i.e. broken garbage disposal) working well. Nick came in the day after we spoke, was prompt, assessed the situation thoroughly and carefully, then fixed the dishwasher pump (there was glass blocking the fan, somehow). He was clean, organized, and careful throughout. I definitely recommend Nick/ImHandy!

David was very pleasant and completed the new toilet installation on time. He made extra time in his busy schedule to accommodate my availability. I will definitely use his expertise for other future plumbing projects in my Cambrian Park home.

Limon Landscaping installed raised vegetable and flower beds with some pavers for good access to the pre-defined odd-shaped area in Hayward, CA. It took about 9 hours and I got what I exactly what I wanted. He stayed within my budget too; strong quality materials and professional workmanship on their part-Mr. Limon and his crew.

We hired Carlos and his team to paint several rooms in our office as well as patch some holes and do other minor repairs to the wall. They did an excellent job. I can't even tell that the holes were ever there! They were also very clean. I've hired three different painters for this office and this is the first time that I haven't heard any complaints. They were very polite and professional.

I worked with Dave and his team in transforming our backyard from a wasteland to an awesome outdoor living space. He provided trees, lawn, irrigation, pavers, a beautiful custom built wooden arbor with park bench, fence lattice, crushed granite hardscape and jasmine plants. Dave does not disappear from a project and manages it with very tight communication/updates throughout. His landscape installation leads are very nice and take a lot of pride in their work. It was a pleasure and in the end we feel like we got everything we wanted at a fair and competitive price. Two thumbs up!

Michael removed an old fence and installed a new 20' fence including a gate at my son's house back in Feb-March 2015 timeframe. He and his crew did an excellent job. They showed up on-time, installed the fence in a timely manner and cleaned-up. Further, Michael came back to look at a sprinkler pipe that could have been damaged during the fence install and repaired it without question. Michael is a professional that strives for 100% customer satisfaction. My son was very pleased with Michael's work and will use him again. Sorry for the very late review...

Brought Kieran in to reframe a section of our wall so we could put a wide in-wall speaker in, and then drywall/spackle/paint large chunks of our living room where a home theater installation crew had cut sections out to run cables. Kieran was prompt and helped us adjust plans on the fly after we cut into walls and found load-bearing studs. Did an excellent job of managing dust and cleaning up while we lived in our apartment during the job. Great job on the actual work - looks just like the original wall. Was prompt, on-time, and sent frequent updates. Also cleaned up a considerable mess left by the home theater crew.

I hired CFI Construction to frame a new 501 sq ft building on our property to be used as a sewing studio. Today, they started and finished framing the walls, and enclosing the entire building with shear panels. Next week, when the trusses arrive, they are going to install them and install roof shearing. I learned of CFI two days ago on Thumbtack. Having observed their work today, I feel like the A team just fell out of the sky into my project. They are phenomenal in every respect. Their work, honesty, and work ethic are models for the construction industry. They have years of experience framing large projects, both residential and commercial. I was humbled that they chose to work on my project. They are not solely a framing company. They can build a building from start to finish, I just happened to hire them for framing. Having enjoyed today's experience, I'm going to use them for more phases of our project. Both the owner of the company (Steve) and one of his sons (Drew) were on site the entire day, as well as their crew of 5 framers. I wanted to write this review now, even though they still have trusses to install and the front porch to frame, because I want other users of Thumbtack to have the same benefit of a 1st class, licensed, professional construction company, as I did today. I strongly recommend that you seek out CFI Construction for your projects. They are the real deal. Thank you Steve and Drew.

This letter is to share our enthusiasm about Natalain Landscape Design. Natalain created and designed a beautiful landscape plan for our 16 acres In Aptos, California, and then implemented and executed the gorgeous plan over a period of 18 months. We couldn't be happier with the final results. We love the beautiful and tranquil surroundings Natalain has created for us. Her unique vision and excellent implementation of a very complex project made us huge fans. We had many requests, huge dreams, no understanding of reality and a naïve concept of what was possible, and Natalain was able to fuse all our hopes and dreams into one plan and then bring it into existence… all while dealing with prickly personalities, long distance owners, multiple project managers on other parts of the building project with their own agendas. She has skills which would have made her successful in negotiations for peacekeeping efforts. Natalain has a wonderful eye and is extremely knowledgeable about California native plants and different plant requirements. She had to balance our need for something beautiful with our desire for low maintenance, able to withstand high traffic, minimal water, and fairly extreme climates. The parcel is fairly big, with a variety of different uses, and Natalain did a remarkable job of defining the spaces and making them all very inviting. We haven’t had a guest arrive who hasn’t commented immediately on the beautiful and natural landscaping. She is also very versatile, with a deep understanding of irrigation, building products, soil and plant matter.

Replacing our old clay sewer line and galvanized water service pipe and installing the cleanouts turned out to be quite a project. Marino and Tim planned to hand-dig the trenches for the pipes to avoid damaging the irrigation and gas lines in the yeard, but soon realized they would not be able to get through the matted redwood tree roots and rock-laced soil and get the job done in a timely way. So they went to plans B and C: a trencher for the water service trench and a bobcat for the sewer line trench. They worked slowly and carefully with the bobcat operator to dig the sewer line trench without nicking the nearby gas line. They worked 6 long hard days digging, laying pipe, and then refilling the trenches and compacting the soil by hand. I was home most of the time, and they kept me informed about what they were doing and how things were going. Marino is a great communicator and explains things very well and thoroughly. Marino and Tim knew exactly what they were doing and were very exacting about laying the sewer pipe at the proper pitch, for example, and cleaning up every evening. We ended up paying a bit more than the original estimate because we had to pay the bobcat operator and because the sewer line trench ended up being longer than we expected (runs diagonally across our yard instead of straight to the street), but the extra was fair given what we encountered on the project. I am very happy with the work I think they take a lot of pride in their work and want to do the best job possible. I also really enjoyed having them around while they were at my house.
