    I've worked with a few personal trainers over the years and I have to say that hands down, Evan is the best trainer I have ever worked with. I started working out with Evan over a year ago. I have chronic low back pain, and had just had a procedure that was meant to reduce swelling and allow me to exercise more and strengthen my core. I had been doing physical therapy for awhile, but found that the workouts were too mellow, and I didn't really notice any improvement in my core strength. My wife had actually been working out with Evan for a few months and she recommended I try a few workouts with him. Evan has been amazing. The workouts are intense and challenging. He focuses on doing intervals of a quick series of strengthing exercises, with a burst of cardio in between sets that keeps your heart rate elevated for the entire workout. Given my back issues, he is very good about checking in to make sure he is not stressing or straining my lower back (or any other injury I might have picked up). I have noticed dramatic improvement in my core strength and overall fitness in my time with Evan. He also has been willing to email me personalized workouts I can do on my own for days when I'm not working out him. I agree with all the other posts here -- 5 stars. Evan is great.

    I recently moved to San Mateo. I was looking for an experienced personal trainer with a private gym and Kip was the guy. After I posted the search on Thumbtack, Kip quickly responded back with an offer and set up an trial training session with me. The trial went great, he pushed hard but was checking up on me from time to time to see if I needed a break or drink of water. I recommend anyone to sign up with him and try it out for themselves. Another thing I like about Kip is that he checks-up with you after the training to see how you feel and adjust the next session based on your response.

    I've now been working with Adriana for a couple of years, and I can recommend her without reservation as a personal trainer. She knows what she's doing and she keep the workouts fun. She continuously studies new techniques and concepts and applies what she learns to her workouts. This helps keep things fresh. She's also very good at communicating so that you understand the purpose behind what you are doing. Adriana also has an excellent knowledge of physiology, which she uses to help me get through the occasional injury that at another time might have slowed me down. She has showed me some great warmup activities that have helped me to avoid injuries that I have had in the past. Adriana will help you get stronger/healthier, and she is a pleasure to spend a few hours a week with.

    I have been training with Cheryl for 2 years, at the time I had just joined the gym and had not really had much physical activity, so I was really out of shape and needed to lose about 100 pounds. What I love about working out with Cheryl is that she really takes each persons needs and abilities into consideration. She pushes you just the right amount for you to attain your goals, but isn't a drill sergeant, which I really appreciate. I also feel really comfortable with her. Cheryl has helped me reach some huge goals of mine, I have lost 80 pounds since working out with her, and a crazy number many inches : ) She has helped me not to just lose weight but also to tone and to be physically fit. It's always amazing for me to do something that several months ago I was not able to complete and now I do it with ease. I have enjoyed each of my sessions, Cheryl is really fun to be around too. When learning new exercises I can be hard on myself but Sandy motivated me to succeed while having fun. I loved how she emphasized reducing and strengthening my core, because like many my stomach has always been an issue for me. However, she improved my other areas as well. Sandy makes sure my form is excellent and saves enough time to stretch after to avoid injury and get the most from my training. Besides achieving a toned body I like how she likes to raise her clients stamina which helps me stay physically active in other areas of my life.
