Chapman's Guitar Lessons
About this pro
Great teacher for my 11 year old! He really pays attention to the student and customizes the lessons according to her needs.Aug 5, 2018
My daughter started taking lessons with kyle and after just a few months I was really noticing her playing getting better. He has a good attitude and works well with the kids. Good overall service, especially for how cheap it is.Feb 18, 2014

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My in-home guitar lesson rates are $45 for half hour sessions, and $60 for hour sessions. These rates also include print-outs, custom lesson plans, and travel expenses. Cash, check, venmo, squarecash, and paypal are all accepted forms of payment. Payments are due after each weekly lesson. Monthly payments plans are optional.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Since these sessions are one-on-one I try to get to know the person a bit beforehand by having a phone conversation. I find this really helps make new students feel comfortable going into their first lesson. During this phone conversation I'll ask some questions about things like: - Specifically expressed musical interests and/or desires - Prior musical experience - Potential learning style - Creative vision - Potential musical interests At the end of this conversation, we can set up our first lesson! I then curate lesson materials and create a lesson plan based on my assessment.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Bachelor of Arts from San Fransisco State University in Jazz Performance. My formal musical study has given me a depth in understanding of music in every aspect.
