Thank you Manny for looking out for me and my family as the smell and back up of sewerage into our home was extremely dangerous. Manny performed an inspection using his sewer camera. He explained to me what we were seeing and why we were seeing what we saw and at the same time explaining to me what needed to be done to fix the sewer pipe. He explained it in such a way that it all made sense, the connections and all. After the inspection, I gave Manny the okay to begin the work and thank God that he was able to send his crew to our home within the hour. The work was guaranteed, done fast, including the 10 foot ditch that had to be dug. Manny and his crew were extremely nice, quick, affordable and reliable. No more stinky smells and backups for us!! For all of your plumbing needs, I highly recommend Allstar Rooter! Thank you Manny!

Adrian repaired our balcony that had dry rot. This was not an easy job replacing joists and lifting the whole balcony so water can drain off when it rains. He also laid ceramic tile on our 17 X 10 balcony. He and Mark did and excellent job. Very thorough with attention to the smallest detail. Very polite and overall nice guys. We will use Adrian again when we have the need.

Why I recommend Jim's service: 1) QUICK RESPONSE TIME - within minutes of posting my service request. 2) FLEXIBLE - agreed to come by the next day (Sunday) on a short notice to fix my drain clog. 3) DEDICATED PROFESSIONAL - apologized for arriving 30 minutes early and brought all his equipment 4) QUICK & CLEAN - a quick inspection and Jim knew where the problem was immediately; quality and clean work, left no mess 5) WORLD-CLASS SERVICE - he spent an extra 30 minutes helping me with something else in the yard that was not part of the service request and did not charge a penny 6) NO STRINGS ATTACHED - charged me exactly what he quoted me the day before; although prices may differ depending on the needed service, Jim won't surprise you with a bogus charges like many of other scumbags out there. With +35 year of experience in the field, it was apparent he knew what he was doing and loves what he does -- you really have to in this line of business. Disclaimer: I was not given any discount from JDS Plumbing for this review -- he simply deserved my praise. As a matter of fact I offered him extra $$$ for his professionalism, friendliness, and honesty. Ask him anything related to plumbing and he won't hesitate to answer you in a way we call understand =) Most definitely recommend him for your plumbing needs. You'll regret you didn't!

I hired Ocho Plumbing to entirely replace a bathroom faucet, drain a shower drain and repair the parts inside a toilet tank. Edgar was very responsive. He arrived on time. He communicated estimates and pricing ahead of doing the work. He was honest and very professional. The work he did was excellent and he cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend him!

Isidoro is a trust worthy person. Very hard to find a professional like this. He used the hydrojet and camera for a sewer line, yet the result is just satisfactory. Later that night, Isi told me it was his equipment under-performing. Isi fixed the hydrojet, and came back the following day to complete the job to the best of his ability. This is an indication of an honest person. I will definitely call Isi for the next job. Furthermore, his rate is very competitive.

The job started out as a straight forward clean out of a backyard drain. It quickly turned into unforeseen horrible mess, requiring major work to clear/replace the drain to the street which had been crushed by a large tree root. Mr. McIntyre rerouted the drain and got everything functioning again. He is very professional & pleasant to deal with. He was always prompt and arrived at the job when he said he would be there. He left the work area neat and clean at the end of each day. It took some trial and error to figure out the best way to go about fixing the problem, but once the best way was figured out the job went very smoothly.

American Castles Mike To the RESCUE!!! The water heater at my rental property burst on a Friday afternoon causing some major damage to the house. The renters were furious because their items got damaged and the house wasn't inhabitable after that. On the inside, the bathroom wall and under stairway closet were all soaking wet and drywall/carpet/padding had to be removed immediately to prevent mole build up. On the garage side where the water heater located, the entire wall was destroyed. so I called my home insurance who provided me with their preferred plumber who quoted an additional $540 out of pocket on top of what the insurance was going to cover just so he can bring up the water heater installation to code! He told me that it will take him 1+ week to order the water heater (duh...get one from Home Depot take only 1hr...which is what Mike did) and that he can install a temporary water heater and will charge $137/wk! He also referred me to a water damage restoration company which I was not too happy with either. Since it was an emergency and I went with that company. They came in and ripped out all the wet drywall without caring for any molding; especially for garage doors and closet doors! It seemed like what ever the water heater didn't damage, they did. They also broke my water heater intake shut off valve. damage the water heater over flow copper pipe. All I can say is I will not use them again! Back to the plumber, something was smelling fishy about his quote and so I called and questioned this plumber. His response was "Well, I will need to flush out the gas line and calibrate your water pressure...upgrade to the new California safety quote...put in earthquake straps...install new vent line since the new water heater nowaday don't use the old vent line!". I was not convinces so I started to Google for good local contractor and AMERICAN CASTLES (Mike Tay is the owner) came up from Thumtack along with few others from other websites. I contacted them and they came in and provided me quotes. Mike was the last one I contacted. He arrived within 30min. He checked out the damages and explained to me what needs to get done sequentially to get everything back in proper operation for my tenants. Mike is very knowledgeable and very patient in explaining things. I told him what the plumber had said, he laughed and told me the whole thing was a rip off and a scam! Another crock of bull**** and advised me against it. He told me to call my insurance company to inquire about using other plumber. Sure enough I was offered the "cash out" option which I didn't even know was available. I took that option and went with Mike for the repair. Mike knows how important it is for my tenants to get the hot water running again once the water damage restoration company completed the clean up/dry out the area (took 1 week). As soon as that company removed their equipment, Mike had his crew come in the next day (Saturday) to repair the garage dry wall and finished the installation of the new water heater and brought it up to code on safety on Sunday! He even added the water pan and installed drain pipe for me. I didn't even know such a thing exists (talk about quality...he treats it like repairing his own home!). The best part is his charge for the whole job including new water heater, earthquake straps, valve, drain pan, vent and new connection is far way less than what that plumber was going to charge me. I loved the fact he took the time to show me how things should be done up to code and what works for my situation instead of just giving a price and walking away. He did an awesome job! Unfortunately my landlord insurance's deductible was so high, I asked Mike to give me a quote for fixing the damage in the garage and inside the house. Mike's quote was very competitive and the best part is he is always willing to work with me knowing my situation (thx Mike). My bathroom paint is 16 years old so it was a challenge to match the paint for the new wall. After only quoting me for painting a small wall inside the bathroom, Mike decided on his own to paint the entire bathroom without charging for it. Now that what I call TAKING PRIDE IN YOUR WORK AND STICKING TO YOUR WORD!!! My summary is, Mike successfully completed the entire job and installation in four days. I would highly recommend Mike to anyone and will definitely be using and referring him to everyone I know.

I called Clyde. He came in less than one hour. He checked out a leak that was soaking our family room carpet, located the problem and gave me an estimate for the repair. The next morning he came, removed water soaked wall board, broke concrete to expose the damaged drain pipe, removed the crumbling and leaking cast iron trap and pipe, replaced with ABS pipe, snaked line to clean out debris, patched concrete, cleaned up, and we're good to go. Oh yes, he also unclogged a stopped up bath tub drain and fixed the catch on a door (all for the original estimate). We are completely satisfied.

Al is the best help one can find when in an emergency. I had a stubborn clog in the sewer line that leads from the kitchen to the main line. My kitchen sink was backed up, dishwasher not functioning as supposed to. Al responded at 10 pm in the night and asked if he could come over. I asked him to come in the morning since he would have over 50 miles to travel. He arrived right when he said he would. He was very professional and had a roll up the sleeves attitude. The entire job took more than an hour since it was an extremely hard clog. He finished the job with tremendous patience and charged me the same dollar amount he said he would during our very first conversation. What a relief! I would hire him back again in a heartbeat in the future.

I called Steel Plumbing to get a free estimate to install a backflow in our home. The technician (Raul) was knowledgeable and professional and was happy with the price so I hired them to do the work. The day of the work was less stressful than I anticipated. They came and installed the backflow in a day. They cleaned up well after themselves. I will definitely use Steel Plumbing again! Tip: Ask for Raul he is the best!

Justin ran a water line across the top of my garage, inside, and put a water faucet on the outside of the far side of the garage. His work is exceptional. He cleaned up after he was finished. It was a nice piece of work. It has made watering the front so much easier.
