I participated in online prep with Christine for the SAT & ACT, she was truly an amazing teacher. It was as if we met in person twice a week! She took the time to make sure I was understanding the subjects and made sure to not end the session until all the my questions were answered. I highly recommend online tutoring with Christine if you're looking to be successful on the SAT & ACT. I even scored a perfect score on my ACT too!

I have been extremely happy with the tutoring and coaching I received from Arbor Tutors to improve my GMAT score. My overall GMAT score was stuck in the low 600's (and I struggled for months to get it there) but quickly improved to 700s after receiving insightful diagnostic of my strengths/weaknesses followed by a large number of specific tasks to improve my weaknesses. I'm still shocked with the ease and speed with which my tutor was able to help me improve my score. Don't get me wrong, you will be given a large amount of work but the work is focused on what will benefit you the most and help you improve quickly. I strongly recommend tutoring from Arbor Tutors if you are looking to make major improvements on your score. I took a highly regarded GMAT prep course first and although the course was excellent, the personalized training, test taking strategies, in depth explanations, and coaching from Arbor Tutors was orders of magnitude better. I also echo the comments of previous reviewers: Arbor Tutors is invested in your success and provides a wide range of unique resources tailored to your needs to help you get a score far above your expectations. I honestly never thought I had a real chance of scoring above a 90th percentile on the GMAT but Steve at Arbor Tutors showed me how to make this reality.

George has been my mentor for many years now and he is very dedicated to his work. He is passionate about the subjects he has studied and tutors, and it is evident in his teaching. Outside of the many hours we have spent together preparing for tests, George has spent time with me working on my own Senior Project. Thanks to his engineering expertise, I was able to complete an Arduino project that later placed in a Pan-Asian expo. A fantastic person and a better mentor, George has helped shape my future and my career. I would recommend George to any student - no matter their skill level. George helped me understand basic concepts for topics I was confused about, and also helped me further my advanced knowledge in high level mathematics courses. He is passionate about his work and will take as much time as required to help a student understand his work. He has gone out of his way to help me with countless problems. He is easy to reach at many times of the day (when he's not busy with work), and will always get back to you. I recommend George to any student looking to catch up or get ahead in their math or science classes.

Met with John once or twice a week over the course of several months during my GMAT preparation. I started out with a 13th percentile quantitative score. After working with him I was able score in the 73rd percentile on my first official GMAT, exceeded my initial goal by scoring ABOVE a 700. I had no formal quantitative training or experience prior to studying; the last math class I took was as a sophomore in high school (a decade ago). Each time I met with John, he was able to go beyond simply correcting my mistakes. He clearly explained the overarching reasoning, strategy and logic behind a certain problem. This is something the video explanations in GMAT curriculum do not do as thoroughly as John. If you're looking for someone to discuss GMAT concepts with in a clear and intelligent way, I highly recommend him. I also studied using curriculum like Target Test Prep, but John helped me tremendously by working through the problems I struggled with step by step and identifying any weak spots in my quant skills. He understands the GMAT and is able to identify the kinds of questions that likely would or would not appear on the exam. Finally, John served as a strong source of moral support throughout a challenging three months of study atop a full time job. When I wanted to try a new curriculum or ask him about tricky questions via email, he would always offer thoughtful feedback in response. His responses were especially helpful when I scored low on practice exams; John's feedback always helped me put things in perspective and helped me get back up and try again. He was very flexible and willing to work with my schedule and make time when needed, often on short notice. In short, I couldn't have done it without him!

Dave Foster primarily tutored my home schooled daughter extensively in pre-calculus, but also provided some SAT prep. Essentially, he was her math teacher for a year. Although my daughter is a good student, she previously did not like math at all and she had some trouble grasping higher level concepts, such as logarithms. By the end of their time together, Kate not only had a firm understanding of the material, but she also developed a liking for a previously detested subject. Her SAT scores improved significantly, and when she took a higher level math course at our local college, Kate was at the top of her class. I firmly believe Dave's teaching gave her a firm foundation to succeed at this next level. Always cheerful, patient, encouraging, and willing to go the extra mile, Dave has a heart for his students and a gift for teaching. We will definitely call on Dave again, if the need arises.

Teacher Kim is awesome! My 12 year old son was struggling with pre-algebra. As a result he developed an unhealthy dislike for math. She worked with him to improve his knowledge and skills. He brought home his math test last week and he received an "A". He was very excited! He likes math and feels confident in his abilities now. He even likes to help his younger brother with his math!

I had Georgianne Buck as a Tutor for two months. She had been a positive, capable and patient teacher. She is been helpful to improve my english; with her I have improved on my english skills, before the IELTS test. Georgianne is an educated and cultured woman. During the period with her, I have been able to learn quite a lot, in addition to the language. She is a good person and now she is also a friend.

Kaitlin has been my writing/English tutor for several years. With her help, she taught me to organize and simplify my writing. It is her advice that allowed me to score perfectly on the ACT English and Reading sections; in total, I scored a 33 out of 36! In my experience, I have had no other tutor that is as dedicated and committed to helping me succeed. She put my time before her own to help proofread and edit my essays, work on test prep, and improve on English language arts in general. Very hardworking and compassionate!

Josh was an awesome SAT tutor for my son, increasing his scores 110 points in just a few weeks of tutoring. Prior to Josh, my son was enrolled in a commercial SAT prep course: 3 hours on Friday evenings and six hours on Saturdays along with 11 other students. My son did not respond well to the group setting. These sessions could not hold his attention, and it became a weekly battle to get him to go. After a few weeks, he quit the course and decided that individual tutoring would be a better option. Josh’s style of personalized attention offered my son the back and forth interaction he needed to maintain interest and motivation. He had a great depth of knowledge (Yale graduate), as well as a warm and personal demeanor. He took the time to understand my son’s individual style of learning and identified the areas with which he needed more assistance. In summary, my son benefitted greatly from Josh’s talents, and I would highly recommend him to anyone needing one-on-one and personalized attention.

Yevgeny tutored my son for about 6 month to prepare him for SAT Subject test Math 2 and the Math portion of SAT. My son liked his style of teaching - giving small hints to guide him to find the right answer. In addition Yevgeny was able to explain complicated mathematical concepts in simple words. I strongly recommend Yevgeny as Math tutor.

Rio has been working with both my kids (ages 8 and 10) on common core math and has done an excellent job engaging and teaching them how to problem solve. The kids look forward to Rio coming and enjoy working on math problems. He adds a lot of fun and excitement to the tutoring and I have seen both kids build a lot more confidence in math as well as improve their test scores.

Jennifer is an excellent tutor. The results she gets are absolutely impressive and I believe it's because she understands that different kids sometimes need a different approach when working on problem solving and test taking. She knows how to get through to students. She's also extremely professional and wasn't late once! Do not hesitate working with her - she's remarkable!

My son is in 10th grade and a bright boy. However, with ACT tests coming up, we wanted him to reach his highest potential. Through the Chelsea International Getting Into The Ivys test prep program, my son has excelled so much so that he is up to go to Stanford. After doing 6 weeks of private tuition with Dr. Michelle, her patience, understanding and encouragement, has driven my son’s greatest results. He scored 34 on his first time taking the ACT and he had no prior ACT testing experience. I am so impressed and so thankful for the professional experience of Chelsea International.

Yuliana (AKA Julia) was so helpful, knowledgeable, understanding, available, and overall amazing! Yuliana assisted me with data analysis services for my dissertation and I know I chose the correct avenue in seeking her assistance. She also guided me in interpretation of my results for my dissertation. The statistical analysis used were anova, ancova, t- test, multilevel linear modeling, pearsons correlation. Bootstrapping is also one of Yuliana's magic! Yuliana is truly a statistics magician and she was patient, professional, timely, reasonably priced, and worked with me through email/phone when I was traveling and had stats work to complete. I really do not know what I would have done without her help!! I truly recommend her!! Thank you Julia!!!
