I have been involved with showing and breeding dogs, along with competition in herding for 30+ years. I have owned several different breeds over the years and have always done my own training. I decided to adopt a pit bull puppy that I had been fostering. She was only a few months old, and was scared of everything. I thought she would eventually grow out of it, but she didn't. I tried everything I could think of, but her fear continued to get worse, to the point of her not wanting to go outside. I employed Kim from The Trained Canine to help. What Kim was able to do with my girl was amazing! She is now a happy and confident, carefree dog, with no more fear, but the best part is that Kim showed me how to work with my dog in such a way that she 100% engaged with me, and the bond I now have with my dog is like no other. Kim made the training fun for all of us. Kim's knowledge and diversity in dog training and behavior modification are 2nd to none. I would highly recommend Kim for any type of dog training.

I was at wits end with my dog, nothing I was doing seemed to work. He was crazy(aggression issues) and only getting worse but all that changed when I found master dog training. Their experienced trainers were able to find the root of his problem and ever since taking the 20 day program it's like my dog was never aggressive at all! 👍🏻👍🏻 two thumbs up to master dog training.

"Be smart over forceful and gain knowledge over tools." Our philosophy is not the easiest to explain. However, I believe one of my clients explained it best: "If you are hiring Stephanie to train your dogs, you're not doing it right." If people could just 'hire someone' to 'train their dogs', we'd all have perfect dogs now, wouldn't we? The first thing you'll learn when you hire Stephanie is that it's not your dog. It's not necessarily you! Well, it's mostly you, but there are so many other factors that come into play when raising an intelligent animal. There is no quick fix, and no, Stephanie cannot do it for you. It's going to take work. But she will hold your hand through the entire process as long as you let her. If you want to learn why your pet behaves the way it does, then hire Stephanie. If you want to learn why and what you're currently doing isn't working, then hire Stephanie. "If you're willing to invest time, energy, and a modest amount of money into giving your pet the best life possible, then hire Stephanie." -- Lauren Roady My philosophy is to support and coach my clients through every step of the process. I am not a trick trainer and do not pretend to be. I avoid training obedience commands during sessions, unless they have a behavioral benefit to the client's dog. The vast majority of clients that I work with fall under 2 categories: behaviorally unstable and puppies. A behaviorally unstable dog is a dog that has fear, aggression, nervous, dominant, hyperactive, or other similar issues. Behaviorally unstable dogs can typically be described as "very [insert behavior]" Examples: "My dog is very skiddish." "My dog is very hyper." "My dog is very excited." "My dog is very aggressive." I work with puppies to create balanced adolescent dogs. My goal is to train and educate the owner, helping them build a confident, socialized, healthy adolescent dog. I have plenty of examples of dogs who are extremely well-obedient trained and were still severely unstable. This is why I am not a trick trainer. It is very important to understand that work with any behaviorist does not EVER have immediate solutions and takes time. While some trainers may claim immediate results and can achieve obedience with the dog rather quickly, they are in effect only training the dog and conditioning for that moment and those set of circumstances. In reality, establishing trust, respect, and understanding of your dog's needs and how to fulfill them to achieve your goals takes time. Pawfect Manners Dog Training will be committed to giving you all of the tools, knowledge, and techniques that you need, effective and consistent application falls on the owner's shoulders. If the trainer or behaviorist were to make it happen, the dog's behavior problems would quickly return due to the lack of education that the trainer or behaviorist taught YOU. As long as you commit to your dog and apply our methods on a daily and consistent basis, you WILL see results! Our programs require the owners to give their all: 50% commitment will not provide 100% results. For more reviews, please visit our Wordpress website.

We are all about training dogs one person at a time. One of our specialties is training dogs that have children in the home. I have four children aged as follows: I have a 4 year old daughter, 2 1/2 year old twin boys, and a 1 year old daughter. My three older children can have my dogs sit, lay down, and listen to "No". I make sure that your child understands how to communicate with your dogs, which is something that you do not get with all dog trainers. We train dogs, as well as provide dog walking, pet sitting, and house sitting services for you and your beloved pets. We love all animals, and although our main business is to train your dog, we also want to help you with your other pets like cats, horses, snakes, birds, fish, etc. When it comes to training dogs, we offer basic obedience, canine good citizen, some behavior modification, socialization, potty training, and even a doggy boot camp. Also, I am currently fostering and adopting out 3 adorable little girls. Two are pitbulls and one is a lab mix. They will have 2 sets of vaccines, be dewormed, and spayed by the time they are available for adoption on January 30th. Adoption contract required and 10% of adoption fee will be donated to Concerned People for Animals for all the help they have given me and other people like me. Please contact us for more information.

Our beginning class teaches beginning dog obedience and dog manners. The follow up classes works to advance the dog in obedience skills and then introduces the dog to beginning skills for such dog sports as rally obedience, therapy dog work, agility, flyball and formal obedience. We have some basic teaching methods, but realize that all dogs are different and sometimes need to be taught in different ways, so we adapt the method to the dog. I have been a school teacher for over 30 years, and also have taught and competed in a variety of dog sports and activities for over 30 years. We believe in happy, well behaved dogs and having fun in class. Come join us! See our website for times and locations.
