I want to be fair and objective in my review. Full disclosure, we are still waiting for our photos and video. Our wedding was on August 12, 2017. And I'm writing this a couple of days after Christmas.
Initially, Ruben was great. Very professional, and his work looked great on the website. He was very accessible, answered our questions and addressed our concerns.
On the wedding day he was great as well. Even as we changed locations and dealt with some issues (caused by some of my family members), he and the photographer were great. Calm, cool, and collected in the chaos.
Where things turned around was was a couple of months after the wedding. I would call or email Ruben to check in but got very few responses. No ETAs on when we could expect anything to be finished. I havent received a response since October 2017.
I understand that these things take time, and that some people have waited longer for photos, But to ignore a customer inquiry after they've paid in full is unacceptable.
It's my hope to update this review with a more positive experience. But I honestly can't recommend Sybex at the moment.
P.S. when choosing a vendor, ensure you review the contract thoroughly. And make sure your vendor has the time and capacity to follow through for you. In the end, you're making an investment to preserve the memories on your special day.
