I am so thankful that I used Thumbtack to find Kevin Hammond and his company Total PC! Our office just completed a last minute move to a new office location when our rent was raised and needless to say, it was extremely stressful to move a business after 13 years in less than a month. However, one of the major things that alleviated some of the stress of our office's recent move was Kevin and Total PC's immediate response to my post on Thumbtack. As our previous IT person relocated to Texas last year, I had been searching for awhile for reasonable and knowledgeable IT services that serviced our area. Now, I needed to find someone to set-up our server and network, set-up all of our office desktop workstations, copiers, printers and faxes in addition to troubleshooting any preexisting problems we had for this impending office relocation. Also, all of the aforementioned was to be accomplished in a weekend--as our office being a law firm, could not afford to have any unnecessary 'down time' for our client matters. As being one of the bids for our office's Thumbtack posting for IT services, I researched all of the companies proposing their services and Total PC stood out not only because of their positive reviews on Thumbtack and Yelp, but Kevin of Total PC's immediate response (via telephone) to all of the questions I had surrounding this daunting office relocation. Kevin made himself personally available to visit our new office space to survey the set-up and to come on the weekend (multiple days for several hours) to make sure our office was up and running by the following Monday of our Friday move! Please also let me impart that no request is too large or small to ask Kevin and he will give you an honest assessment of whatever the IT project presented as well as its viability. Kevin likes a challenge and he will work to figure out whatever issue/project you present him (he solved an on-going software problem that we have had with our billing software for over a year that even our software help desk could not even figure out). If Kevin and Total PC cannot solve your IT problem--then I believe that maybe it cannot be fixed BUT he will always present an alternative option to solve the problem as well ☺ One thing that really impressed me with Kevin and Total PC throughout our move was that they were extremely responsive (all requests or trouble ticket issues are responded to within 2 hours or 24 hours with an advisement that the issue will be addressed). Further, Kevin will explain technical issues in a way that if you are not the most 'tech-savvy' person--you can understand what is at issue whether it be your network, computer or software. Based on the positive experience with Total PC for our initial project to assist with moving our office, we have now hired Kevin and Total PC for our on-going IT needs in which they monitor/troubleshoot our server, network and desktop/laptop computers. Although our recent office relocation was not wanted or expected, besides getting a larger office space we love, we now have a comprehensive, professional and responsive IT service provider in Total PC that we had been wanting for over a year.
