- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Murals are priced differently depending on size, condition of surface, complexity of design, and ease of access. (Do I need a ladder or a scaffold or a scissor lift?) You can expect your mural project to be priced at $17 - $40 per square foot. Faux finish projects are priced at $3 - $8 per square foot. I ask 40% as a deposit to secure project time in my schedule and the balance is due on completion. I can offer a 10% discount if you pay up front. I accept cash, check, credit card, Venmo and ACH payments.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Free initial phone consultation - We'll discuss the mural size, location and your overall thoughts on what you are trying to accomplish with the mural. 2) Inspiration meeting - I prefer in-person meetings at the job site if at all possible. The environment where the mural will exist will give some guidance on how the mural should look. I'll show you some ideas based on our initial conversation. This is not a fully completed mural design, they are inspiration boards where you can pick and choose style elements that you would like to see in your mural. 3) Project Quote - I'll send you a quote and with the information you have thus far you can decide if we're a good fit to work together. Upon receipt of your deposit and signed contract we will work out a timeline for the completion of your project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been doing many forms of art all my life including painting, drawing, and interior design. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in interior design, and a bachelor's degree in computer science. I feel very comfortable helping clients flesh out ideas that fit their needs and will maximize the beauty of the space, and I use different technologies to help bring those ideas to life as murals.
