I had Mike install an antenna on my roof and connect it to my living room TV. And he did a great job.He called and let me know that he's running late unlike most contractors who don't bother to call. Very knowledgeable, great price, will def use him again!
James did a great job, I work with contractors for a living albeit in a different environment and it was refreshing to have an honest contractor who takes pride in his work. I would without a doubt work with him again for any electrical needs in the future.
J&L did a good job of replacing our old bathroom vanity light and installing our new one. He also helped us correct a minor electrical code compliance and safety issue with how the old light was installed.
We are so pleased with the excelling work that Carlos had done for us. He installed a new and bigger water heater tank. He modified the copper pipe and parts to fit and looks very professional. We sure will use him in the future
Peter installed a brand new electrical panel for us and did an EXCELLENT job! Great communication skills, very punctual and thorough. Peter is very knowledgeable in his field and his work shows. We are very pleased we chose Peter to do our project as it was completed quickly, with great results and at a very good price. I recommend Peter 100% for your electrical projects!!! Thank you Peter!! :-)
Very positive experience throughout the process. Good communication and follow through. My yard had been FUBAR for the previous two years during the drought so when the rains finally came a jungle quickly took over. I went with a low maintenance drought tolerant design and am 100% happy with the results. Kimo and the crew finished ahead of schedule and under budget.
I feel very lucky to have connected with Tom. It's a crap shoot sometimes finding the right person to do the right job. Tom is a former contractor and he's the one you want for any carpentry type jobs. We had a gazebo with the top boards rotting away and Tom replaced them all with new redwood boards without disturbing the surrounding plants and he added some nice railings. He also put up an extension to our fence and as a bonus he fixed our gate. Thank you Tom! All these five star reviews are the REAL thing.
Todd is terrific. He’s honest, reliable and does what he says he’ll do. He does thorough, high quality work at a fair price. He’s done a number projects at my home (new kitchen, indoor lighting, electrical work, wall and ceiling re-texturing, etc.) and we plan to do more this year. Todd (and crew) are very respectful of people living in the home he’s working on, and they never leave a mess behind. I needed entry ramps (for a complicated entry) in a hurry when a family member became temporarily wheelchair-bound due to a fall. Todd had the ramps measured, designed, BUILT AND DELIVERED in less than 48 hours!! Todd cares about his people. I could write more, but will close by saying is a real pleasure working with Todd Ellis.
Osbaldo is great to work with! He's very fair priced. The work is very high quality. He was on time and just really did a nice job! I hired him for three projects and would highly recommend him!
I contacted Jeff on Thumbtack after having several contractors not show up for a fairly simple job on a sprinkler head repair. Not only did he respond quickly but came out the very next day. He was prompt, courteous, efficiant and eventhough he travelled from Antelope to Elk Grove, the cost was within reason. We will DEFINITELY use his service again when we have more work for him! Thanks Jeff!!
Although the company is an electrical contractor, they have a master carpenter, Richard, who was able to install for us a new entry door having two sidelights. For what I considered to be a very reasonable price, Richard installed the new door, as well as our new Schlage "smart" deadbolt lockset. In the process, he overcame a minor defect in the manufacture of the door so that it would close correctly, and also removed an iron gate installed in the front entry by the previous occupant. The door was installed with precision such that it closes solidly and effortlessly. Most notable is that Richard cares enough to want to do things right. He was patient, efficient, and every bit the gentleman. We are very satisfied with the work he did for us.
When I was looking to hire someone to build a shed, Nate replied right away to my Thumbtack inquiry. One other person wrote, but he never followed through. On Nate's first visit, he arrived on time. Nate is professional and knowledgeable. He listened to how I wanted our shed built and he built it just the way I envisioned. In my opinion, I thought he was just a shy pricey, but we paid for quality materials and the old adage 'you get what you pay for' pretty much rang true in this case. He built a shed with shop lights and ran electrical conduit to the shed for power. He's an honest guy who listens to any concerns you have.
Jose showed up and was very professional. He checked all of my outlets and switches for me and swapped out the ones that were faulty. He even fixed a few things for me that he saw was wrong with some open wires in my electrical box from the precious owners. He worked quickly and efficiently. I would definitely call him again.
I was referred to Mr. Shaffer by a friend who had their bathroom remodeled. I was so pleased with their bathroom I had Mr. Shaffer ultimately do my bathroom. Mr Shaffer was not only very patient with me he really offered a lot of design ideas which proved to be very helpful. There was a lot of detail in the design of my bathroom and shower. My bathroom came out beautiful. And I couldn't be happier. Mr Shaffer went over and beyond his duties. I was really impressed with with Mr Shaffers courteous, knowledgeable service. He is quite a craftsman. As you might know contractors can leave quite a mess. And Mr Shaffer really cleaned up my bathroom well. I would highly recommend Mr Shaffer.
I had an outlet in the house that would randomly lose power. It was determined that my electrical panel was the cause and needed to be replaced. Aaron clearly explained what needed to happen, why, and next steps. Throughout the process, he continually communicated with me and coordinated the work with SMUD. Because of the age of the panel, the electrical system needed to be brought up to code. Aaron had no problem handling the updates and my requests to make adjustments to improve the cosmetic appearance of those required code updates. Yes, a new panel is an expense that one doesn't look forward to!! Let's face it.. it just sits on your wall, we walk past it without bragging, like we would with a new barbeque... "oh, wow! look at that beautiful electrical panel," and we don't think about it until something happens and then we realize how important it is on a daily basis. But the reality is that how often do you really replace your panel?? 25-50+ years. My thought is that it needs to be done right so it will work correctly and endure for a very long time and that might cost a little bit more but I would rather have a professional than a fly by night electrician. Aaron was there when he said he would be, finished the job in one day, made a clean install, cleaned up the work area, and provided a power unit so the house would have some temporary power for the house computer while the work was being done. I have since called Aaron back to look into fixing some faulty wiring from a patio cover installer. Aaron is now my go-to electrician!
Done the day I made my request for electrical work. Victor did a great job, worked clean and fast, and there is no drywall patching needed. I would hire again and recommend to anyone needing electrical work.
Brent met his contracted deadline and made corrections to drawings afterwards that I requested. He also worked hard to meet my needs as a homeowner not familiar with some of the ins and outs of the city of Sacramento requirements like title 24, which was not required for my project. That could have been explained better. Not sure why I was charged for a consultant for that. Also, only one printed copy was included in contract price, I ended up paying Brent to make 2 more at same price Brownies would have charged when that got complicated. Would have preferred to not have to run around and the extra work to get the copies since this is not something I'm famliar with doing. Service would be improved to provide the # of copies required by the city for review and submittal. I was ripped off by a prior contractor found on Thumbtack for drawings so I was nervous about hiring another one, but Brent took the trouble to make sure I knew he would come through and values his reputation.
If the general contractors would give a quote that would be great . They can't even do that
Wes is awesome! He is very knowledgeable, clear bids. Worked on a couple of my homes efficiently and precise. He's my contractor. He does everything ranging from fence to electrical. So glad I found him on thumbtack.
Chris did a great job. He was on time. He is a very hard worker. I needed new railings for my porch and I wanted tile laid on my porch, also. Chris gave me options of how the job could be done. He went with me to Home depot and Lowes to pick out the materials that I wanted used and purchase them myself. I really appreciated that. He is very meticulous and precise with his work. He did extra work that he thought would make it look better. I am so proud of the work he did. He has such a great personality. Yes, by all means I will be having him do more work for me and recommend him to other people. His price for the jobs were very reasonable. Thanks Chris.
