So far I just have had my 6 year old daughter do piano lessons. She loves it and Michelle makes it relaxing and convenient. Very flexible schedule. She's been so great I have referred many students in just months!
We are so pleased with the violin instruction our son receives from Carol Miethke. She is caring, encouraging, and sets high standards. Studying the violin with Carol has had a positive impact on academics. Through Carol's teaching and the self discipline learned through violin practice, our son gained confidence to take a challenging math course and was very successful in it. I am glad to recommend Carol Miethke to anyone looking for violin lessons.
Ronit is amazing! My daughter and I have been to a few lessons already and we're confident that she'll have us playing great soon!!
My grand daughter is thrilled with her piano lessons. Her grandfather takes her to her lessons every week and I have only received excellent feed back. My granddaughter thinks the world of Heidi and is eager to learn more and more.
Linda plays classical violin and fiddle and so she instructs for a combination of good form and fun. I am a beginner on the violin, having played the piano since childhood. With just a couple of violin lessons, Linda got me to bring forth strong musical tones, and hold myself and the instrument so I am relaxed. She is clear about what is important for me to learn, and positive about what I can do so far. I cannot recommend Linda enough as a violin teacher for adults or children. Susan H.
Merilee is awesome to work with...Such an inspiration to my child--taking his first music lessons. He asks, "When is my next lesson?" Teacher Merilee advises music books, how to rent your violin and shows you step by step how best to help your child! Super Teacher!
I completely recommend Amy as an violin teacher. She is an excellent teacher, is very patient, explains things very well and finds the way around to makes sure the student understands. Especially in my case that I am an adult that haven't had any music instruction since elementary school. She always provides helping tools such as websites and great exercises. You can definitely tell that she really loves teaching violin lessons!
Mr. David Thorp has been giving my 10yr old son viola lessons for almost a year now, and in that time I have seen my son's confidence in playing in front of people boost. Mr. Thorp is great with kids! He is patient, encouraging and at the sometime makes lessons challenging and fun.
My experience with erik has been great, to say the least. When I called him to ask about beginner violin lessons for an adult student (that's me), I was terrified. A few teachers I contacted before even told me they don't teach beginning adults because they don't have the head-start that kids have and can't become professionals. But I didn't want to become a pro, I just wanted to learn the violin! So anyways, I called Erik and he was super helpful and reassuring, spending about 30 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my silly questions. In the first lesson, he let me use one of his rental violins and I learned way more than I thought I'd be able to on the first day. He carefully talked me through how to hold the bow and covered everything about technique I could possibly imagine. He said it was because I needed to do it right from day one to have smooth progress in the future. I've been super, super happy with him as an instructor so far. And learning the violin as an adult is NOT that scary!
I've been taking lessons from Liz for over 7 years now. She knows what vocal exercises I need for developing particular skills such as placement and vowel pronunciation. Her constructive feedback is always given with ways to improve. Liz is happy to work with me on song selections that suit my voice and push me outside of my comfort zone, from classical to modern tunes. When Iâve seen Liz perform live, it reinforces the vocal techniques learned from her instruction. She has a singing ability that I can only hope to aspire to. If you've been thinking of taking voice lessons, I highly recommend Liz.
Rima gives my daughter extra-special attention and has a very kind and patient manner with her. My daughter can't wait for her violin lessons and is progressing wonderfully due to Rima's attentiveness.
My teaching method is structured to make room for creativity, to encourage perseverance and dedication, to leave room for the student to explore his/her musical passions, and to inspire excellence in my students.
I teach violin and viola. I have many years of experience in both playing and teaching. Please contact me for more information.
I believe it's important for music lessons to be fun. I also believe in laying a firm foundation of technique to avoid injuries and problems later on. Often, teachers can come across too demanding, or they have so much fun in a lesson that the student continues their interest in music without developing the necessary skills to play what they'd like. My experiences have gotten me to the point where I believe I've found an excellent balance.
I provide child music lessons like violin, guitar and piano. My classes are available online, over the phone or at their home.
I offer violin and voice lessons for all ages and abilities. This is not cookie-cutter teaching. You receive custom lessons tailored to your needs, goals and abilities from someone who is passionate, skilled and educated, and has over a decade of experience.
