Introduction: What I do and why it's a little different? I have been schooling, training and working for over twenty-three years in the fields of Kinesiology, Massage Therapy, Wellness, and Exercise Physiology. In that time I have acquired quite a few "tools" in my toolbox of therapeutic techniques. It is my experience that the best and most long-lasting results are seen from using all the techniques necessary to get the job done properly... not just one tool at a time. I combine all of my resources and education to change dysfunctional patterns in the body (like pain responses and muscle imbalances), and begin replacing these with healthy pain free body movement. A session may include massage or exercise by itself, a combination of corrective exercise with massage, massage with assisted stretching, or maybe exercise, stretching and massage all in one. The goal is to get you feeling better as quickly as possible!

To say Beth Downey is an amazing trainer, would be an understatement. From beginners to MMA fighters to military personnel, she is more than capable to adapt to each person's ability. If you want a butt-kickin' workout, sweat dripping, heart pounding workout, Beth is 110% the woman to go to. When I first started training with her, I was a new mom and recovering from an illness in which I had to learn how to walk again. Four years later, I am 3 yrs off my medicine and have been able to get more fit than I have ever been. I am now able to pass on the knowledge I received from Beth, onto other trainees. If I hadn't started with Beth, I honestly don't think I would be where I'm at today. Oh, and she is a pretty amazing masseuse as well!! Thanks for all you have done!!

Beth is without question the best trainer I ever had. Not only was she my trainer, she was my nutritionist, my therapist, and my guide to health and fitness. She taught me about cardio, weight training, stretching, the body, and healthy eating. Beth was someone I could count on to help me achieve all of my fitness goals. I lost inches and gained a ton of muscle and found strength within myself that I never knew existed. Everything she taught me has stuck and is now used in my daily routine. My cardio ability increased traumatically and I even went on to run two half marathons. I never would have had the drive and stamina if it weren't for Beth. She pushed me and took my fitness to levels that I never thought were attainable. I am so glad I was able to have someone like Beth in my life - she is an inspiration to all and the most educated, amazing trainer out there.

Beth is an awesome personal trainer. I started attending her Gauntlet sessions in 2011 to prepare for the 2012 Tough Mudder Obstacle course that was scheduled in April of that year. The Tough Mudder event is a VERY challenging 10+ mile obstacle course that requires not only endurance but also full body strength to overcome the obstacles. The exercises in Beth's session were unlike any other classes I have taken before. She has you flipping tires, swinging sledge hammers, using medicine balls in ways I didn't know they could be used, climbing ropes, and so much more... After many sessions I was able to see a huge change in my strength, endurance and my appearance that was unbelievable. Not only was I ready for the Tough Mudder in April, 2012, but I ROCKED it like I never thought I could at the age of 43. What is even better is that during that same year I was able to achieve many other races that I would have never tried before like my first 1/2 Marathon, a 4 Mile Swamp Race, and a 10K race. Beth is an awesome trainer, motivator and also a GREAT friend. I can always count on her for encouragement and words of wisedom in how to achieve my nutritional and exercise goals.

Beth is the most talented and well rounded trainer I have ever had the pleasure (and subsequent pain) of working with! She has a deep understanding of functional movement and will employ multiple techniques to get your body working at peak performance. Whatever your goal -- weight loss, improved athletic ability, improved range of motion -- she knows how to get you where you want to be. She genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her clients and recognizes the personal nature of her business – there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Do you need accountability? Do you understand the nuances of nutrition and how it affects your performance? Do you need workouts and sports massage specifically designed to improve your range of motion? Utilizing a holistic approach she will design a program to meet your specific needs, whatever they may be. Beth’s ultimate strength lies in encouraging and motivating you toward your goals, while simultaneously empathizing with the emotional, mental and physical rollercoaster of results driven training! If you want to make a change and need an expert to guide your way, Beth is THE BEST woman for the job!
