I hired Haute Productions for a private cooking class for a bachelor party event, and we had the best time. Keith was an awesome teacher and host, he made the experience wonderful. Everyone had a blast and it was the best part of the entire weekend. Not to mention the fact that the food was awesome! I would highly recommend using Haute Productions for any event you may have.

If you are in Redlands, CA for any reason you must absolutely visit the Cooking Block cooking school. We had such a fun time with friends we were visiting. They were very excited to take us there as they had attended many of the cooking classes offered before. We had not planned on doing an activity like this on our stay but are very glad that we did. We participated in a French cooking class that was paired with wines for each course. The instructor was very knowledgeable and an excellent chef. Not only were we treated to excellent food and wine, we actually learned a lot about the regions that they hailed from. We met the owner of this fine establishment. His name was John and he was very hand's on with the entire night. Probably one of the reasons it was such a great experience. He made us feel very welcome and was genuinely glad that we all came. It was very apparent why this business was so successful. Many of the other guests were return customers and could not say enough about how much fun these events were. This event was sold out. Thank you to our great friends and to Cooking Block for a most wonderful experience. Cheers and continued success and excellence!

My wife and I hired Lynn to teach a cooking class to a group of tweens. Lynn worked with us on the recipes--she was creative and really had the kids engaged. They had a ball and learned at the same time. The best part is she came to us so I could work while the kids did their thing. At the end, most all the kids wanted to know when their next cooking lesson was with Miss Lynn. I highly recommend her.

Chef Vicky Valencia is an excellent chef. Vicky was my husband's personal chef for 3 years. My husband, John, had Eczema and other food allergies. Chef Vicky, in collaboration with my husband's doctor, figured out which foods he was allergic to. She then cooked wonderful and delicious meals that were gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free. She focused on protein and vegetable dishes. His favorites: Stuffed Red Peppers with Ground Turkey, Mexican Meatballs, Vegetable Turkey Patties, amongst many other yummy dishes. John loved her cooking and felt so much better. He had more energy, and he looked younger too :) Moreover, I, along with another friend took several cooking classes with Chef Vicky. She showed us how to cook amazing dishes that helped alleviate menopause symptoms. She also taught us some wonderful holiday dishes such as Polenta Casserole, Breaded Seitan, Mushroom Ragout, and awesome cranberry sauce. Chef Vicky has high standards in food handling and hygiene practice. She displayed great knowledge of healthy and whole foods. Moreover, she has a course completion in Macrobiotic Diet. She put a great amount of time understanding her clients' needs and works very hard to cook outstanding meals made with a lot of love. She is very friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help. She is simply the best!! I highly recommend Chef Vicky Valencia. Please check her cooking out. You won't regret it. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of taking my very first boot camp with Jen in 2009. She was also my first Spin instructor. Jen is enthusiastic, motivational, positive, and knows her stuff!! From her paleo lifestyle, to cooking, to exercising, I trust in everything she has to offer!! In 2010, she offered a free Paleo class in her home. This was before the Paleo diet was as popular as it is today. She was organized, informative, was able to answer all questions, and again, extremely motivational. I also took one of her cooking classes. Again, in her home. I believe that was in 2011. To this day, I still use the skills and "secrets" she taught me that day. Jen does everything with a smile! We hired her to come out to Julian when my three coworkers and I had a team building outing! She came out and did an hour work out with us, and gave us another Paleo inspired lesson!! Even though it's been over 2 years since I've seen Jen, I continually go on her Facebook and Moxie page for tips, general motivation, and just to see how she is doing! I find Jen to be one of the most genuine, honest, hard working, women I have ever met. If I had to point out what could be better, I would have to say I wish she'd move closer to me! I miss being able to drive 5 minutes away to take one of her classes. She is now over an hour away from me, and I think of her often, and am so happy to give another testimonial of how much I have appreciated her in the past!! Love her!!

Pete and his wife Melissa are an amazing and caring team. When my wedding planner Birgit Aviles recommended that we try Pete’s for our catering, my husband was determined that they were going to be our caterer. After a hearty taste test, we were beyond sold (and stuffed!). Melissa met with us at the venue a couple of weeks beforehand to finish with details which was wonderful. The day of, we had a fantastic spread of tri-tip, smoked chicken, smoked mac n’ cheese, baked beans, salad and rolls. I had SO MANY of my guests tell me they usually don’t like wedding food, but every person cleared their plates! The only thing I heard anyone complain about was that they didn’t get enough mac n’ cheese! They even made a small dish of mac n’ cheese and had portobello skewers for our few vegetarian guests. After the event was over, they packed up all the leftovers for us so we could snack on it later that night and the next day! They also had two servers that worked their butts off throughout the night helping serve our guests and then clean up. Everything was beyond delicious, beyond wonderful, and top notch. Thank you for your wonderful customer service and delicious BBQ!

Teresa took time to understand my needs and what I wanted to get out of my experience with her. She also spent a lot of time personalizing our day together and being thoughtful about how to schedule and plan it all out so that I got the most out of it. I learned a ton of tips since we went through the entire process, from picking out my ingredients through preparation. Teresa was willing to answer any question (no matter how silly) I had along the process and adjust to any changes I requested. Teresa is really knowledgable and experienced, as was evident throughout my time with her. I would 100%, no doubt, hire Teresa for many more cooking experiences/classes in the future. I definitely feel more confident in the kitchen after spending a day with her.

Brandon cooked dinner for myself and a couple of friends a few times. His food is amazing and not your ordinary dishes. His mac and cheese and fish tacos are to die for. Highly recommend Brandon as a chef for an intimate dinner or a large party. He can work with almost any budget and will provide the most bang for your buck. Choosing him to cook is definitely one of the best decisions I've made.

How much do private cooking lessons cost?

You can take private cooking classes to have fun, to learn a new skill, to improve your health, to bond with your partner, to enjoy a playful first date or to have a unique birthday party experience. Nationally the average cost of private cooking lessons ranges between $100 and $150. Prices can vary, depending on where you live, the type of cooking class you’re taking, the ingredients the chef provides, and the reputation of the chef. Cooking classes with Anthony Bourdain will clearly cost more than classes with a local restaurant owner. The number of people in the class will also affect the cost, with group lessons often priced per person to account for the cost of ingredients. For example, for group lessons, a brunch workshop may cost an average of $70 per person, a steak dinner with sides could cost an average of $80-$85 per person, and a sushi lesson could cost an average of $100 per person. Ingredients play a major role in cost, as the chef will pre-purchase the food you will be working with. Weekday classes will usually cost less than weekend classes.
