Beth truly is the "Top Dog" trainer! My 5 year old Lab/Dane was displaying some fear aggression which was becoming problematic on walks and during outdoor activities. Beth addressed our issues head on and her years of training and experience were immediately evident. Her knowledge was incredible and I was so impressed with her training. If I ever have any future issues, she will absolutely be my first call! I highly recommend her services. Thank you again Beth for making our walks enjoyable again!!
I have an English mastiff whom I was reading wrong. So I ran into a girl who knew Paula and swore that she is the best with dogs and she also said Paula brought down the euthanize rate at the local shelters. I was skeptical because I have never had a dog trainer come to work with my dogs. My mastiff was a little different from my other dogs so I was in need of someone who knew what they were doing. When Paula came to meet djanga, the dog was doing her normal barking and showed some of her nervousness. Paula just came to just be around her pursay, and it was just so djanga could see that she's not a threat or anyone to be worried about. Paula has the most open personality and it's like these dogs just feel that vibe and soak it up. Djanga doesn't feel comfortable around most adults but she loved Paula from day two haha. I know that Paula can solve all dogs issues if not strive to give her all trying to. She would come in and we would take djanga out come back in let her chew on an antler to release her tension then go back out. It worked, I thought my dog was a goner. Djanga was getting so much better and Paula would bring different things to introduce her too, ( including her daughter). I bought a super nice leash off of her that djanga worked really well with and a few antlers. Djanga got to where she was looking for her weekly tennis ball in Paula's bag and was super happy to see her. That's not the only good thing though she is very adamant about working the dog and getting them to where they need to be to feel comfortable in their environments and just calm no stress. She did that for djanga and I'm so thankful for that. Djanga today is a better dog then she's ever been I still use her tools to this day and it has made the world so much easier to handle for her. Paula is a great person and the dogs love her but she is very patient and calm with them. Her rates are super affordable, and she will come to you where ever you are. If anyone has the chance to work with her or her work with their dog, it'll be the most wonderful experience you will ever have with a dog trainer. The only thing I would change is I would live to see Paula travel and help dogs around the world I know she could make a difference in our shelters today.
I would recommend Ben to anyone looking for a dog trainer. From the moment he walked in the door, he had instant control of our crazy dog. In one session with Ben, I had command of the crazy dog! He quickly and clearly imparted the basics to me (trained me) so that I could continue with the program of training. He covers walking on a lease, entering and exiting thresholds, greeting strangers, behavior in the house, etc. Ben is personable, well dressed, and a pleasure to work with. He has earned my highest recommendation!
monica was very nice really good with my dog. she was absolute joy to be around and my dog now knows all the command s, and she came to my house, was there intill my dog had learned what we discussed. She went above and beyond what I expected very good dog trainer and I would recommend her to anybody. if you're thinking about having someone train your dog I would call her. she really helped my dog and I out.
Look no further for a dog trainer, Mel is the best. She is passionate, patient, and excellent with animals. In the short time that we have used her we have seen results and a more disciplined dog. She cares so much about your animal that she is always available for consultation over the phone. She has boarded and trained our dog when my family went on vacation and sent follow up videos and photos of our puppy on our vacation. We look forward to a long term relationship with Mel and our adorable and well trained puppy.
Sarah is one of the most compassionate and empathetic dog trainers I know. I interned with her to become a dog trainer, myself, but had been training dogs for years prior. Some insights she have me into techniques I had taken for granted were remarkable. Her methods elicit results so quickly. I get real pleasure out of just watching her work and it has made me a better trainer as well. I own and train the Guinness Worls Record surfing dog, Abbie Girl.
I bought a dog (german shepherd puppy) from Kris a couple years ago for sport work. He set me up with training and my dog is THE best trained dog I have ever owned. She has a balanced and stable temperament on top of fantastic obedience and protection. I am so incredibly happy with her and Kris is extremely knowledgeable in dog behavior and dog training of all aspects. I recommend Taylor made Working Dogs for any source of dog training or buying.
I hired Mike to help train me and my dog to be able to pass the required tests to become a Therapy team. I loved working with him...Mike makes the training not seem like work but instead fun. Emma (my dog) and I are truly thankful for the wonderful work he did with us. We are enjoying our therapy work as a team :)
Rachel is a excellent dog trainer, she is very patient.
Greg is a talented and supportive dog trainer for dogs and their parents alike. Much of his teaching is based on the philosophy contained in Karen Pryor’s book, Don’t Shoot The Dog! We have found his understanding of what makes dogs tick at different stages of their development indispensable in training our young male mixed breed.
I needed help with my newly adopted 3.5 yr. old beautiful, strong-willed pit bull terrier. After being rejected by another trainer, Nikki @ Sky's the Limit agreed to take on the challenge. After 3 weeks, Izzy successfully graduated from her basic obedience training a better dog. She will follow commands now. The issue now is getting the humans to become better "parents ". Thank goodness there are 3 training sessions for us as well. Nikki was great with my girl and is always a phone call or text away. Her calm and reassuring demeanor has taken the fear and anxiety out of the situation helping me believe that I can be a trusted Alpha in no time at all; as long as I am consistent. It has been a great experience and I highly recommend Nikki and Sky's the Limit to anyone who needs or wants to teach an old dog new tricks.
I have had the pleasure of working with Bree at Pawsitive Principles with several of my dogs. She has assisted me with private training to work on home based issues as well as group classes. I have utilized her recommendations for a rattlesnake training course for three of my dogs and it was a great life saving experience. I hve also taken her Rally training classes and it is the best training and bonding experience I have had with my dogs. I highly recommend Pawsitive Principles for all types of training as well as dog sport activities. Your four legged friend will also thank you!
Daniel has a gift! He is so calm with our busy Rottweiler puppy! Not only does he really care about dogs, but he is an excellent trainer. He teaches our puppy 2-3 new behaviors in each session and then shows me how to reinforce the training. I believe his client list will grow quickly so I would get on his list as soon as possible! On top of his great skills, you have to add his amazing affordability. He has been a wonderful find and we are so thankful to have been able to hire him.
Shelley is an incredible person and Dog trainer. Her passion for animals far exceeds her Job description. Her methods are right on and they WORK. I highly recommend Shelley, she is worth every penny.
Ed has been our dog trainer for about two years now. We could have stopped going to class a long time ago, but my dog and I had so much fun we keep going back. Ed has helped turn my rescue "project" into a perfect gentleman with hands-on classes and clear, no nonsense instruction. He is reliable, enthusiastic, and cares about your results. Class is an hour, but he is always willing to spend the extra time it takes to get it right.
We had a 17 month puppy that was out of control. Well in fact he was in control of our family. The last straw was me tackling him in the front yard to keep him from running out of the house again. We hired Peter Levy to help us with this adorable wonderful stubborn puppy. Within minutes of Peter walking into the house, he looked at our puppy and gave him some type of signal or vibe that he was alpha. From that point on, our puppy changed. He became calmer and more attentive. Peter taught us how to gain control over our puppy and get him to behave better. We learned from him how to be above the puppy in the pecking order. His instructions were very insightful and made so much sense when you realize how pack animals work. He has an instant connection with a dog, and is able to help us get the good behaviors that we need from our dog. We highly recommend Peter as a dog trainer. He is amazing!!!
Talking about a miracle worker! That's Jenn Cull with Doggy D Tails. My dog was literally deaf and blind. And Jenn performed a miracle task. She trained my deaf and blind dog. When Antler was a puppy, we had no idea of what was coming. She played and seemed very normal, by 6 mos. old she stopped chasing the ball and really didn't respond to my husband and I anymore. We called Jenn in. After close evaluation she recommended we take Antler to the vet. That's where she was diagnosed with a rare disorder, probably genetic. Jenn, asked if she could still work with Antler and we allowed her to. Without much hope, we didn't see what we could loose. Today, if you didn't know it, you cannot tell that Antler is deaf and partially blind. Jenn has taught Antler how to use her sense of smell and vibrations on the floor to respond to our commands. Antler even goes to the doggy park and has turned out to be our most beloved best friend in the whole world, all thanks to Jenn Cull of Doggy D Tails in San Diego.
Kris is the best of providing great pet service along with customer service. He really understands animals, and he is able to help the customer connect with their animal through his work. He is even a excellent dog trainer, so that high energy dog will not be such a burden anymore
She's the best trainer ever!!! Our dog Red wouldn't listen to anyone. Within 3 minutes he was listening and obeying. Thanks Alex

My father was a veterinarian so I grew up in that environment and worked at the family practice for years. I always make sure any dog I work with is not exhibiting behaviors due to pain, medical issues or stress before I put a training program into place. I have worked with dogs who refused to sit, but instead of forcing them to sit, "because we say so" I check them out to see if sitting was painful, and in several cases it was. Knowing when something is a training issue, and when it is not is important, a lot of trainers do not take these things into consideration. I know because I have mentored so many trainers over the years and I see it every day. I have learned from veterinary animal behaviorists as well as top trainers all over the country. I have been the training director and lead behavior specialists for a very large company for many years. Putting a protocol together that works for the owner not just the dog and trainer is very important. Also knowing the breed you are working with is very important as well. I have had the pleasure of working with many rare breeds as well as many rescues. I currently volunteer as a behavior specialists with 2 rescues here in San Diego.
