We care! Our classes offered are ongoing which allows clients to start at any time. No waiting for the next session. We cater our training to each particular dog and owner's needs and levels making classes fun and unique. We limit our group classes to only 6 dogs so our clients receive a lot of one one one attention. We also offer in home private training for those hard to fix behaviors or day training for those who keep a busy work schedule with little time at home with the dog. With combined total of over 19 years of experience in the behavior and training world and work within shelters we have had the benefit of working hands on with a wide variety of dogs. As a result, our understanding of how dogs communicate and reading their non-verbal language to best assess them is strong. We don't need to succumb to using force, intimidation or coercion with training. Our goal for our clients is not to build a solid sit behavior but to build a long lasting relationship for everyone through the value and power of positive reinforcement training. I thoroughly find joy in helping pet owners build a long-lasting relationship using only force-free training. I believe “you can teach an old dog new tricks”! It’s truly about helping teach the dog to want to do what you want them to do through building a loving, cooperative and trusting relationship.

  • Off Leash K9 Training San Diego LLC.

Your dog will benefit tremendously from our training! Most behavior problems (biting, chewing, jumping, etc) are based off of a lack of exercise, discipline, and out of boredom! With this training, your dog is receiving top-quality obedience training, which in turn, allows you to give your dog freedom to run around OFF-LEASH and play! So by doing this training your dog is not bored because it is learning and being stimulated, it is running freely off-leash so it is getting exercise, and it is getting obedience/discipline! Not only does all of this greatly benefit your dog, but it also benefits you and your family! Remember, if you do not employ your dog and give it a job to do (training), it will become self-employed. A self-employed dog will cost YOU money! The ability to take a dog who is on the verge of being returned the shelter, given up on my their owners etc and turning them into amazing obedient dogs!

My clients and their dogs are of primary importance to me. I want my clients to succeed in their goals and I help them as much as I can along the way. I actually listen to my clients and consider their concerns. I apply my knowledge and expertise to their concerns in order to succeed in what they want to accomplish. I love working with dogs and working with people, the two primary components in what I do. I am and always will be a student of behavior and body language in both dogs and humans. Every time I get to work with both, I am doing exactly what I enjoy most.

  • Whole Dog Training

After 22 years working in the dog training field, I have learned that the best teachers are the dogs. They have all of the answers, we just need to listen and that takes a lot of practice. My book, Chill Out Fido! How to Calm your Dog was written from the knowledge that dogs are so often misunderstood and we really need to teach them to live in our world. That is accomplished with a deep understanding of dog behavior and the concepts of training using methods that are easily understood by dogs. Our entire team enjoys working with people to help them build or repair their relationships with their dogs.

  1. #1 The Dog Listener

    (27 reviews)

    Leo S.

Emily is awesome! She worked with our family and Bro for about a year and a half. When Bro was a puppy we couldn't handle him. We thought he was too much for us. After just a few sessions with Emily we could see a big improvement with him, way easier to calm and my boys were not afraid of him any more. Now he is a model dog and we get compliments about him everywhere we go! Emily saved our family! Bro is a Bull Mastiff / pit bull cross. He is wonderful with everyone and a perfect gentleman on walks. Thank you SO MUCH Emily!!!

She was very thorough with my English Bulldog. Although it was her first time caring for an English Bulldog, she took care to learn how to properly care for my pet. My pet had a wonderful time!
