- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes; I am very active in the online music education community and am actually in the process of relaunching an online music education magazine that I co-founded with another teacher a few years ago. I participate in a few online forums to share ideas, lesson plans, and teaching philosophies with my fellow teachers and learn from my peers.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find a music teacher that will listen to your interests and goals and build your lessons around that. While I teach the same musical principles to all of my students, I make sure that we do so in a way that's interesting and fun. Each student has different interests and passions, and I know that when you're excited about what you're playing or learning it's easier to be motivated!
