My children (11 and 9) have been taking piano lessons at Coastal Music Studios for 15 months now. It's been a great learning adventure since: my daughter unlike my son started at an entry level and is now able to play a great selection of good classicals. Andy and Pam are a great team with awesome management skills. While Andy teaches guitar and more, he's mainly the admin person who always goes above and beyond to accommodation his clients. Pam's pedagogical skills are impressive. She teaches piano, singing, directs the Children's Choir (which is free!), conducts .... with encouragement and patience. She's an accomplished musician and artist, perfect for our children! We highly recommend Coastal Music Studio for any music lesson!

Super responsive and super great guy. His technician was delayed in a fender bender on the way to my tuning appointment, so Alex himself jumped in the car and came to my home (all the way from El Cajon to Carlsbad!). My piano sounds great - thank you. I will use you again!

Ryan was incredibly helpful and thoughtful when I contacted him for guidance for my 19 year old son’s next step in piano lessons. He took the time to understand Jake’s playing level and needs and advise us on the best options for him. A true professional.

My daughter had violin lessons with Ms Amy for a year. We loved the convenience of having lessons in our own home with a great teacher, as her lessons were taught privately via Skype. Our only regret was that it would have been even better to work with her in person, but seeing as we lived in another state, that wasn't an option for us. Ms Amy was a great teacher! She was an inspiration to our daughter and helped her to love the violin.

I feel Jennifer and I have a great connection , we get along fabulously. She is a tremendously talented musician and singer (obviously ). Her abilities as a pianist and singer is equally matched by her ability to professionally yet pragmatically teach, mentor, tutor and guide one in the art of operatic singing. We have established goals. She is the epitome of promptness. I always look forward to my lessons with Jennifer. It is an honor to be her student . Sincerely - Dave

Before taking piano lessons with Rebecca, my only experience with musical instruction was through elementary and junior high. Rebecca's training and personal dedication to music makes her an extraordinary teacher. We use the Suzuki books, which I love because that's what I used for violin and flute. She supplements those favorites with really nice adult-learning-centered books on theory. As an adult learner, this was helpful, because I could read through these brief books, but then had the terminology to look up my questions online or know what to ask in lessons. The lessons are so fun and well organized. We work on the songs in the books (which included CDs of the songs so you can hear what the song might sound like if you practice enough) and she would help me with songs I brought in too. Rebecca is so kind, and is great with my five-year-old too. Really, Rebecca is an excellent music instructor. Her academic background, many years of actually playing piano and singing, knowledge of the music available and books, and variety of students -- all make her a versatile teacher, capable of helping anyone learn to the play the piano in whatever style they are interested in. Plus, she is an incredible person. I look forward to piano lessons with her.

When I started taking guitar lessons over 5 years ago, I thought it was just going to be a fun hobby. But now it's my passion. The way that RBSOM organizes this company is truly inspiring. From the lessons to the concerts, it's what makes everything for together. The teachers are amazing! They never have a bad thing to say and they really like to get to know each student on a friendship level. The concerts are also a great way to meet people just like you! You almost never have the same band for each song or concert. Age doesn't matter when you are have a great time laughing and playing some music.

I have been taking flute lessons from Ms. Wilson for close to 4 months now and its been a great experience so far. I had very little idea of music and had no such formal training but wanted to learn flute. She is supportive from day 1 and started to teach me the basics of music and flute. She is very calm, listens to my problems when I don't get some things easily and tries to suggest solutions. She has been very flexible in class timings and adjusts her schedule to accommodate me when I can't make it to the class on some days. I wish I get to learn a lot from her and become a good flutist.

My children had music lessons with "Miss Lisa" for over ten years now, in both piano and voice. Now, she is even helping my young actress daughter with her audition monologues. She is a very gifted instructor, and is willing to step out of the box to encourage students and to develop their skills. Patient, kind, and thoughtful, she is nowhere near the "scary piano teacher" stereotype. We have followed her through several locations, and are excited for the new Encinitas Music Workshop. My daughter now has hour-long private voice lessons weekly, and still learns new things on a regular basic. At the new workshop space, there is also an opportunity for a break of pace with Guitar Hero, percussion learning, piano, and other musical pursuits.

US Music Lessons is great. My daughter's been receiving piano lessons for a little over a year now and it's been a positive experience. The teachers are nice and their rates are reasonable, better than similar services out there.

I took both guitar and ukulele lesson from Kenny at the Ed Brown Center over a two year period, and found him a fine teacher. I learned a lot, and enjoyed my time in classes with him. He also formed us into a group to play for special occasions like July 4th. He's a good guy, loves teaching.

My 10 year old granddaughter had a wonderful first lesson with Amy Long! Miss Amy is talented and creative. Her enthusiasm is contagious! By using a variety of techniques including placing notes between bar lines on the floor, to naming all the notes on the keyboard, and figuring out basic melodies, we came away excited and looking forward to next week's lesson!

Megan Padilla at Gracenote studio is a dream! She was an answer to prayers of my heart. After a big move (upheveal for piano lessons) we weren’t satisfied with our first option. Megan has years of experience, skills, and tons of patience. Her knowledge is both deep and broad. She’s a lovely person, excellent pianist, and fabulous teacher. What is even more wonderful is that Megan comes to my house for lessons saving me time and hassle. I’m so happy with our piano experience and I’m excited for her to be able to teach my younger kids as they get old enough to play too!

I took his lessons three times for the audition for the applied music program;then I passed it! He was teaching me not just music piece, but also some technical exercise for the piano. It is very helpful. Also, although my first language is not English, he explained to me everything clearly. He is a very nice teacher, so I highly recommend you to take his lesson as soon as possible.

I have two boys, age 6 & 8, and a girl age 4 1/2 (maybe she'll start later.) I homeschool, and I'm hoping to find someone to come to my home for piano lessons so I can still work with the other kids on their school work, while one child takes piano lessons, then rotate. Is that possible with you? My other concern in that I THINK my 6 year old might be dyslexic, so I think he will have a harder time trying to learn playing by sigtpht reading music, can you teach to play by ear if he has trouble reading notes?
