Let me start by saying that he was the third person that I hired to complete the same job. I needed a 10 x 12 shed built in my backyard which needed a foundation. The type of ground that I have in my backyard is very hard, like clay. it requires a very specific type of foundation other than the one included in the instructions. The first person that I hired didn’t show up. The second person I hired who I believe goes by IKEA assembly pros on this app showed up four hours late, and only spoke Russian. He did not have the experience needed to do this job and in fact I had to pay him for a day of work just to start over. When Jose arrived, he was not only on time, but he assessed the situation and in perfect English explained to me that the process that was suggested in the instructions, was not the safe way to make the foundation for the shed. He told me that he didn’t feel comfortable building it that way, and that I was welcome to try to find another person who would, but that he wanted to make sure that me and my family were safe. He was also the first person to acknowledge the fact that this is a two person job. I had a lot of respect for his honesty, which he gave me in a very kind and professional manner. While my friends took a trip to Home Depot to get the correct materials, he and the other worker started immediately prepping the area. They had the job done only in a few hours and far exceeded my expectations. they also cleaned up every bit of trash and debris from my yard, including things that were left by other people, and they set out the materials to complete the shed in a way that would make it easier for me and my roommates to put it up. He even told us exactly how to do it and gave us some really good tips! Finding a handyman or contractors that provide top-notch work for a very good value is almost impossible to find nowadays. I will be hiring him again and again for every job possible in the future."See more

Pros: he seemed confident that he had put up plenty of barn doors before
Cons: I feel I was overcharged for labor since it only took 40 minutes. I asked if it would be less money since it was quicker than he originally told me “about 2 hours”, but he said no, he had to keep to the estimate. Paying over $200 for less than an hour labor was not cool. He would’ve earned my recommendation if he had offered. My door was pretty much assembled and just needed to be put on the wall. No extra supplies needed.

Antonio did a great job repairing my fence. He was easy to schedule with and was very accommodating. He quoted me parts and labor up front, so there were no surprises at the end. He arrived on time, offered some suggestions, confirmed what I wanted done, took quick measurements, and was off to Home Depot for supplies. He repaired the fallen, rickety fence in about 2 hours, and I'm perfectly satisfied with the work he did. Super nice guy, easy to work with, and I'd totally use him again!

I had a built in desk to remove from my bedroom. Tom charges about $55 an hour. The removal and hauling away of the desk to the dump took 2 hours, with 2 people, and the total bill was $450.
The patching of the wall plus the drywall was an additional job so had to hire another person to do that . Would I hire him again? No. Too expensive in my opinion. His 2 trips to the dump caused the bill to be high as he included the time of waiting in line to the dump. I am told by other contractors that the labor time to wait in line at the dump is not typically included in the bill.

I can’t recommend this handyman enough. He was honest, resourceful, and incredibly skilled. He explained the more expensive option upfront—the one that would’ve required more labor and permanent work—but then took the time to come up with a much easier, more affordable solution that still looked amazing.

The final result was flawless. The broken door looks like nothing ever happened. You can tell he’s very smart and genuinely knows how to fix things the right way, not just the expensive way. I really appreciated his honesty and creativity.

If you’re looking for someone reliable, affordable, and truly talented, definitely hit him up. I’ll absolutely be using him again.

While some contractors like to be diligent and safe without providing an initial quote, Sean was very confident in the picture I provided and in the work needed to help me fix my problem. He and I went back and forth on texts and emails to iron out details but at the end of the day his quote was spot on regarding labor. He knew exactly what type of material to purchase before his first and only visit.
Upon first meet, he was very professional. He took the time to assess the situation, prep his work area, and got started as soon as possible. My wife really likes the way it turned out and is very satisfied with the effort Sean put in toward his work. Will be reaching out to Sean for other "handyman" requests. Update: To respond Tom's comment:
1. it is not commercial townhouse like Tom mentioned. It is an individually owned condo unit.

2. Tom was in @ 10:20am and out @11:20am, not sure how one hour became one and an half hours he claimed. I still has all the message he texted me and the time stamp when I paid him (11:22 am) via venmo. Not sure why he lied about it.

3. When Tom said he fixed the broken shelf, he meant put 3-4 nails on the wall so the closet shelf has more support. Nothing was really broken.

4. Tom said the sink cabinet floor would take a couple hours to replace and he said the total job including the time he is here today would be $300. Tom said material is $30. So let's say material is $40 for the sink cabinet floor, so the labor is $240 for 4 hours ($65 per hour). If the cabinet floor takes 2 hours, why is he quoting me for 4 hours ? Oh I know, it includes the 2 hours minimum he charged me today even though he was here only an hour.

5. He said the closet door falling off track was because of the wheels but it is actually not. It is the track that needs to be fixed.

I don't think Tom is honest and efficient as he claims to be. He lied about how long he was here (1 hour vs 2 hours). He knew he couldn't replace the broken mirror, the running toilet, and the leaky water spouts yet he claimed he could help before we met. If he did not feel comfortable to do the job after he got here, he could have said: sorry i don't feel confident to do the job, therefore, I will only charge for an hour the time I am here, not the 2-hour minimum I usually charge. But he insisted on being paid for 2 hours. Overall, I regretted not doing my due diligence reading the one-star review before I hired him. Lesson Learned.

Told him about project including replacing broken mirror, running toilet and leaking water spouts, closet door falling of tracks, and replace sink cabinet bottom before we met. He told us he could help so we hired him. After he got here and examined those items, he told me he could not fix the toilet and the shower spout and suggest me to fire a plumber, he doesn't do mirror so he asks us to find a mirror guy. He is not sure if can fix the closet door so he suggest a mirror guy again. All he is sure is to do is the sink cabinet. During the whole time he was there to put some nails on the wall and measure the cabinet dimensions because apparently that’s all he can do. Stayed there for one hour and charged me 2 hours. It is not like we don't have enough work for him, but apparently, he is unable to do a lot of things and still requested us to pay for full 2 hours. We felt like we were lied to. If he is unable to do the job, he could have told us before he came. What a wasting of time and money.

If you are looking for someone who can do some heavy lifting, maybe he can do that. But if you want someone who has little more skills and who can do more complicated work, I suggest look for someone else.
