Amazing teacher and an amazing performer. Danny is patient, kind and always gives you 100%. He will help you to achieve your goals at every lesson. I am sad that I am moving out of state because I will very much miss my piano lessons with Danny. You can only succeed by studying with Danny.

About

Before taking piano lessons with Rebecca, my only experience with musical instruction was through elementary and junior high. Rebecca's training and personal dedication to music makes her an extraordinary teacher. We use the Suzuki books, which I love because that's what I used for violin and flute. She supplements those favorites with really nice adult-learning-centered books on theory. As an adult learner, this was helpful, because I could read through these brief books, but then had the terminology to look up my questions online or know what to ask in lessons. The lessons are so fun and well organized. We work on the songs in the books (which included CDs of the songs so you can hear what the song might sound like if you practice enough) and she would help me with songs I brought in too. Rebecca is so kind, and is great with my five-year-old too. Really, Rebecca is an excellent music instructor. Her academic background, many years of actually playing piano and singing, knowledge of the music available and books, and variety of students -- all make her a versatile teacher, capable of helping anyone learn to the play the piano in whatever style they are interested in. Plus, she is an incredible person. I look forward to piano lessons with her.

About

Jeeyoon taught piano lessons for my kids. We recommended her already for our neighboring friends. She is very talented and motivated. Our kids were inspired by her teaching, and they all love her. She has a kind attitude and is always in a positive mood. She is always on time and she arranges the schedule ahead of time, so we didn't miss any lesson in the past years.I am impressed by her teaching strategies and her knowledge of music. I strongly recommend her to anyone of any age. She has many students from younger ages all the way to adults. She treats everyone with respect and is a very good role model.

Diane, the flutist, also gives private flute lessons and private piano lessons. She has been teaching for at least 20 years, students of all ages. She employs a flexible approach, instructing each student according to his or her abilities and interests. Her attitude makes the lessons friendly and fun. About

My children had music lessons with "Miss Lisa" for over ten years now, in both piano and voice. Now, she is even helping my young actress daughter with her audition monologues. She is a very gifted instructor, and is willing to step out of the box to encourage students and to develop their skills. Patient, kind, and thoughtful, she is nowhere near the "scary piano teacher" stereotype. We have followed her through several locations, and are excited for the new Encinitas Music Workshop. My daughter now has hour-long private voice lessons weekly, and still learns new things on a regular basic. At the new workshop space, there is also an opportunity for a break of pace with Guitar Hero, percussion learning, piano, and other musical pursuits.

About

When I started taking guitar lessons with Scot almost two years ago, I have absolutely zero knowledge of guitars much less know how play them. But now, after less than two years under Scots tutelage, I am able to play classical music (on my classical guitar) to my extreme delight, something I've never thought possible because of my age. My thanks to Scot and Paper moon Music. I find Scot to be extremely qualified and talented guitar instructor. His knowledge of guitar (and various styles of playing) and music (including music theory) coupled with his years of experience is very evident. And, he has the ability to impart it patiently to others. I highly recommend Scot Taber and Paper moon Music to anybody-- beginner, intermediate, or advance student of any age.

About

I am an 'older' student who stopped piano lessons many, many years ago and regretted it. Four years ago I started lessons with Jeff (almost like a beginner). Jeff has been so encouraging and patient with me and seems to know the level of difficulty and challenge I'm ready for. He is so talented and either knows or can easily figure out every song I want to learn (from rock to classical).

About

I was taking piano lessons for about two years when I was 8 and then it became boring for me and I quit. Now, as an adult, I got a strong desire to be able to play piano and improvise. My friends, whose children were taking piano lessons for awhile, recommended their teacher Paul Burd. I was impressed and decided to start lessons with Paul. In the beginning it was hard for me and only patience and understanding of Paul stopped me from quitting again. I love his simple approach which makes difficult concepts easy to understand and I wish I had Paul as my teacher when I was young. Though my schedule is busy I find time to practice piano every day and I really love my progress. Thanks Paul for your support.

Diane taught our daughter Sarah piano lessons for many years, between ages 8 and 18. Sarah progressed from absolute beginner to accomplished pianist in both, classical music and contemporary pop and rock. With Diane's help she also learned to transcribe songs and improvise to chord progressions. We knew we had the right teacher when Diane mentioned she loves to teach transcription and improvisation, as well as understanding and disecting song structure. For us teaching an instrument to a kid is about educating an active musician, not a playback robot, and Diane delivered exactly that in style.

Brian was very patience and extremely helpful with setting us up with a piano teacher. We just finished our first lesson with our kids and Naomi is great! She seems very knowledgeable with piano. My kids were able to warm up to her quickly and that's not easy process. We will definitely be continuing our lessons!

I took my 9 and 10 year old daughters to take lessons from Amanda and they love it! Amanda was great with both of them and they improved every week. If you have young kids ready for lessons Amanda is the one for you.
