Don is the man and I give him my highest recommendation. He is easy to work with, knowledgeable, reasonable in his pricing, a real nice guy and goes above and beyond to do the job right. So far he’s hung a ceiling fan and installed low voltage landscape lighting for me. Both were done very well and within budget. I will be using his services for other projects and recommending him to friends. My only reservation in recommending him is that I’m worried he’ll be too busy when I need him! I’ve worked with a number of electricians and other contractors and Don is someone I have no doubt you will be happy you hired.
Robert was an absolute professional. He was very easy to reach as I was shopping around quotes. On the day of installation, he was prompt, organized, clean and through. My television looks amazing above our fireplace. He hid all of our cables and patched the two small holes he made as well. He also made sure to program the remote, television and cable box. He even showed me how to use the new features on my television before leaving. I can not recommend him enough. I will be passing his business card around to my friends and family. I am a first time Thumbtack user. I received lower bids from other contractors, but based on Robert's perfect reviews, I chose him. And he did not disappoint. Don't go for the lowest price or pay too much from other competitors. Go with someone like Robert, who is priced fair and will exceed your high expectations.
I need some work done asap and Steve was super responsive to my needs I found him reliable and at very reasonable rate I will go to him with all my sprinkler, plumbing and electrical work. None better Very hard worker! Thanks Steve
Harry was great, easy as that. He installed fan boxes in 3 different rooms and wired them to a room switch when no previous lighting/wiring existed. He took his time to do it right and we couldn't be happier. It's great to finally have an overhead fan in the room to keep it cooler without running the ac all day long. I know who I'll be calling if we ever need any other electrical work done.
Andrew and Forturo preplaced outside lighting. They were very efficient. They cleaned up after they were done. I will be using them again.
Greg came out right away -- on a Saturday -- and handled a lighting installation in our office. His expertise made quick work of what could have been a difficult job. He's friendly, punctual, skilled and reasonably priced.
They came out an second time to unclog my main drain at no extra cost, due to their guarantee. Their prices are lower than other plumbers and the service is professional.
As the Project Manager for an upgrade to a condo for resale, I hired Emmy Hyde to do the work. She did a great job! Her attention to detail was impressive and she was very easy to work with. As an Interior Designer, I work with a lot of contractors who assume I know nothing about their trade and often condescend or disregard my opinion. On the contrary with Emmy, even though she knows her trade well. Will definitely hire her again.
Aaron is fantastic! Very reliable, competent and does clean work. I had him repair my landscape lighting and called him back to install a ceiling fan. I called him again to install bookcase lighting. He did a very good, clean job and was able to hook my lights up to an existing switch. This guy rocks. Call him, you won't be disappointed!
I recently called my church asking for a referral for a person who would be honest, affordable and be able to do almost anything I needed done around our home. They referred me to Praetorian Construction and Sean Benson. It turned out to be a great recommendation. I've used Sean several times now and he has been able to accomplish everything I've asked him to do. He has repaired kitchen drawer hardware, installed window blinds, installed exhaust fan motors, installed garage shop lights, installed a microwave oven, repaired tile grout on kitchen counters, built garage storage cabinets, installed and fixed electrical outlets, landscaped and installed a beautiful synthetic lawn in our front yard and this is just a small sample of what Sean is capable of doing. Sean works hard, fast, is fairly priced and is a really good guy. I consider myself very fortunate to have found Sean and have referred him to several of my friends already.
When I called electricians I found on yelp, non would come out unless I paid them a hourly wage (which was well over $150). I found Carlos on thumbtack and he came out for free to investigate the problem. My landscaping lights (3) lost connection to the power box. He took the time to find all the wires under a lot of shrubbery and reconnected them. He would not give up until it got fixed. His dedication is rare these days and his prices are beyond fair for the work he does. Would recommend to anyone and plan to hire him again.
Excellent electrician. Delivered exactly what he said and on time. Was very accommodating to changes and we are very pleased with the results. Installed several can lights and ceiling fans. Would definitely hire again.
We have worked with him on several projects ranging from landscaping to flooring and other handyman type projects. He is very professional, punctual and delivers quality work. He documents his process which is very helpful and provides detailed itemized invoices. Working with Jason is a pleasure!!
This project was major remodel spanning over 8 months. Ryan was basically on call from start to finish. He was prompt, always responding by voice or text even if he was on other jobs. This allowed us to dovetail the electrical work with the other contractors making the work flow more efficient and cost effective. He was courteous to the other sub contractors and respectful of their work. He rewired existing circuits to make way for new energy efficient fixtures and performed new construction addition of both interior and exterior fixtures/outlets and 220 and 120 circuit wiring.
Everything about this contractor is great! Taylor installed 2 TVs (mounted on wall), re-wired and organized all wiring and media boxes, performed electrical work on lighting fixtures, provided troubleshooting where needed, and gave a full explanation on all services completed. Taylor not only showed up on time and was fully prepared, but he is highly professional and did the job fantastically with no mess afterwards! Definitely calling BCS again!
All traits describe Gordon Keiser's work. Over several years we have used him on projects as big as adding a 500 sq.ft. first floor master bedroom and bath to changing kitchen lighting from florescent to LED as well as occasional "handyman" jobs. We can highly recommend him for any project, be it big or small. He not only works well with the homeowners' ideas, but also willingly offers suggestions that might improve the project and is very cooperative in completing the project as ultimately agreed upon.
A few years ago John (who also lives up the street) remodeled my 2 bathrooms. I was very pleased with the results. He kept my informed with what he was doing each day and I found him to be very professional.
You will never have to look any further for a more qualified, professional, trustworthy, well spoken electrician and all around great guy. Tom is all those things and more. I had a problem with a backyard remodel that included installing underground gas lines extending about 80 feet and connected to very expensive outdoor heaters. My contractors workers could not figure out how to properly connect the heaters and would never read the manuals when I suggested that. Ultimately the heaters were connected incorrectly and didn't work. They no longer knew how to troubleshoot the problem and pretty much made it my problem from there. The few electricians I did contact said up front they did not want to take on the task or they kept saying that they needed to come out to "take a look" if it was something they could resolve. Two did come to assess the problem. Decided they didn't know how to fix the problem but of course charged me to "take a look". From then on I made sure to ask other electricians if they had experience with gas lines and gas heaters. They never wanted to answer that question and insisted on coming out. That was very frustrating for me because when I pushed the question they admitted they did not have the experience. From the initial inquiry Tom responded within minutes. He answered at least a dozen questions in detail and never pushed to make an appointment. I asked him for an appointment. He showed up on time. He could immediately smell gas leaks where I could not. In a few minutes he found several problems. Made sure to show me each problem and explain how they affect the heaters from working properly. He fixed everything in a little more then two hours and finally the heaters worked beautifully. I also had him install a motion light. He is coming back next week to install 4 indoor fans, more motion lighting outside and two attic fans. Tom turned a stressful and frustrating problem around for me. I'm so grateful to him!
Sergio Flores was fantastic. He came to give me an estimate the same day I called. His bid was very fair and he started the repair to my bamboo flooring the very next day. His crew worked into the night to finish the job in one day. I also asked him to bid on my fence repair and the exterior painting on my home. He is working on my fence today. I like that he bids the labor and material separately. He is easy to communicate with (I don't speak Spanish). I would definitely use him for all of my future projects. I have already referred him to my neighbor for her fence repair. When you find a contractor that can handle various projects, is prompt and honest, I hold on to them. I am willing to share him once he finishes my projects. Mary Malone 760-450-6215
I'll start with the good. The guys who arrived to do the work--3 cabinet/counter installs, 3 lighting installs, 3 toilets, 2 new floors, 3 paint colors--were all good men, with the primary contractor being exceptional (Javi, I believe). Communication was an issue at times, but we worked around it as best we could. Work ethic was strong, they were respectful and careful, even when I requested touch up after touch up. And, when I decided last minute to have the showers painted, they called a friend and worked around him. The items selected all came from the Pykles showroom, and with my budget constraints, I didn't have much choice, but what we got is still very nice. We went a tiny bit over budget once I realized brushed nickel fixtures weren't included, but they found them for me to save me having to buy them myself and made sure I got all the counters I wanted. Quality of workmanship and products is high. And my baths look amazing! Now, the bad. I'm not sure how it happened, but somehow the cabinets that arrived for my 3 baths were not the right ones, so we were off to a bad start on the first day. We had one that was the right size, but the drawers were on the wrong side for the plumbing, so we had to make adjustments. They told me they would be installed on Tuesday, then Wednesday, but they didn't actually install the other two until Friday and the last one on Saturday (I at least had one toilet and one shower the whole time tho--whew!). That whole ordeal set us back almost two days, so what was originally going to be a 4-day install took 5.5 :( The last day, Saturday, was a scramble to get them done quickly enough to make it to another job, and there was a miscommunication with the crew chief, but we worked it out, apologies all around. The chief came back later in the day to take care of a few quick things, and he'll be back later to handle the absolute last thing--a soap dish that couldn't be mounted without damaging the new shower paint. I appreciated the extra concern. I've never had a contractor show up when they say in the morning, leave when they say in the evening, or finish as planned, and these guys struggled with that a bit too. I give 4-4.5 stars because of the miscommunications and minor delays in what was otherwise a good remodel.
Mr. Heuslein company was hired by Mountain Health Community Services INC to renovate two of Mountain Health primary health care clinics in San Diego, and in Escondido city. I had a pleasure of working with Mr. Heuslein company on the renovation of our two primary health care clinics in 2014. The renovation consist of the following: Demolition, Framing and drywall and concrete footing. Electrical & lighting, plumbing, heating &cooling, Painting, T-Grid ceiling , roofing, handicap parking stripping, MEP, flooring, IT etc... Throughout the course of the renovation. Mr. Heuslein was a consummate professional. He was accurate in his initial assessment of the scale and cost of our projects. He was absolutely clear in his record keeping and construction timelines. He chose and managed the sub-contractors appropriately. The jobs was done with care and precision. He demonstrated that he is an efficient contractor and make sure all change orders are communicated thoroughly and cost effectively. Mr. Heuslein took special care to prevent unforeseen extra cost to the projects and keep us in within budget. While major renovation is inherently stressful, Mr. Heuslein services as a general contract were invaluable, and I am extremely pleased with the final result. I would like to give Mr. Heuslein top marks in the following areas: Quality of work: s consistently top notch. They were conscientious about following project specifications and the work product rarely needed improvement or revision. Quality of Crew: professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful to the clinics staff and respectful of clinic property and business during renovation and goo work habit with strong emphasis on getting the job done right than doing it fast. Project Management and Coordination: Mr. Heuslein company is knowledgeable about all aspects of our projects and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities in different work crew effectively. They are familiar with medical building codes and dealing with city hall also facilitated a smooth and hassle free process when it came to building permits and inspection. Mountain Health Community Services is currently planning on building a new 24,000 square feet in campo area and his company is on our hiring list for our new medical health center.a
