The best part of working with Angela is that she is very careful about teaching you in the simplest way possible. As an International student junior in computer science classes in college, I had a hard time understanding the lectures in class, so i would get weekly tutoring from Angela. She is not like an irresponsible tutor who will just tell you how to solve your homework and be done. Instead, she asks you a lot of questions and leads you to think until you get the right answer. It is really awesome. Also, Angela's bilingual teaching is great. She is very fluent in Chinese and we mostly used Chinese in class because I am a Chinese international student.

With Gabriel's tutoring in Physics I got an "A"! The last math/science class I took was over 20 years ago, and I had forgotten many of the simple mathematical concepts that our Physics teacher took for granted that we knew. It was Gabriel's patience and ability to break the basic physic concepts into simple steps that allowed me to learn physics, and re-learn the many things I had forgotten. Gabriel is kind, patient and made physics fun – I highly recommend him as a tutor!

We have been very blessed by inGenius! Our daughter was struggling with precalculus , and with the help provided by our inGenius tutor- she is improving her grades each quarter. She is a more confident student. We are very pleased with the professional way Paula handles her business. The billing system is user friendly and she gives a detailed description of what is going on in the tutoring session. Paula is very approachable, if I have a question, she gets back to me very quickly. We are planning to continue our relationship with our tutor and inGenius for the remainder of this school year and beyond.. If I could ask for anything, it would be meeting locations closer to central Concord.

Back in 2011, Michael was recommended to us by my sister who enlisted his help to tutor her son who attended Head Royce High School. She said he was excellent and could tutor on any math or science subjects. Because I had a special needs child, I asked if he would allow me to sit in on a couple sessions with my son and he obliged. I was immediately taken by how meticulous, patient, and tuned in he was to what the student needed. With his help, our son did great in Algebra II and Geometry. We then sent our daughter to Michael for Biology, Algebra II, Geometry, and Honors Chemistry. Due to her fondness for math and hope to be competitive when applying for a computer science major at a good college, she felt she needed to accelerate her math curriculum. Therefore, over the summer between her sophomore and junior years at Piedmont High School, she was able to accelerate her math level by a year by taking Pre-Calculus at a community college while being guided by Michael's expert tutoring skills. He is now tutoring her in AP Calculus AB and Honors Physics. Michael has helped our daughter gain mastery in all these subjects and get the highest grades possible in these subjects. Both my children have found Michael funny, helpful, friendly, extremely smart, gentle, encouraging, gives relevant additional work if he finds they needed more help in a certain area, and a pleasure to work with. In addition, I have recommended Michael to nearly a dozen friends that have asked me if I know of a good tutor and they have all been very pleased. We feel very fortunate that someone with such incredible expertise in so many subject areas lives only 5 minutes from our home.

I am a recent Wellesley College graduate who was looking for a tutor to tighten up my physical science section on the MCAT. The first time I met with Clark, I was impressed that he took time to understand my strengths and weaknesses before delving into subjects I wanted to work on. He asked me questions about subjects I thought I knew well only to find room for improvement. During our meetings, he focussed on how I learn and pushed me to understand details I previously neglected. He had the intuition to know whether I truly understood the material. Most importantly, he pushed to see if I had the knowledge required to answer MCAT style questions. His quizzing ensured that I could quickly answer questions I struggled with in the past. Not only was Clark well-tuned to the MCAT and the details one must know to get a good score, but he had numerous resources that were extremely helpful. He has very extensive and very helpful notes on practically every subject in physics and chemistry. These notes were of particular use when I was out of town working an internship in Chicago. While I was out of town, I still wanted to work with Clark. He was flexible and agreed to tutor me over Skype. We used google documents to draw diagrams in order to discuss problems. After working with Clark for two months, I already sense an improvement, not only in how much I understand the material we have reviewed, but also on the way I approach the typical MCAT-type problem. When I recently took the MCAT, I felt prepared. I cannot stress how important it is to feel prepared on your test day. Having a tutor like Clark can make a world of difference when you sit down to take the test and you realize you know the answers to the questions you are being tested on.

    About

We offer tutoring on math and science for all ages, from elementary through college. We even tutor statistics. We also do test preparation tutoring for the job and for the military, SAT, ACT, CBEST, etc. Typical sessions are 45 minutes, and recurring students are placed with the same tutor. During the school year, A-Math-Oasis also offers less expensive ”drop-in tutoring” on Sunday evenings, from 5-8. During “drop-in tutoring”, everybody sits at one table, typically 3-6 students, with a variety of skill levels and questions. Our motto is patient, kind, and efficient.

    About

I'm an engineer with a strong math and science background, and I have both tutoring and teaching experience.

    About

Having been fascinated with the inner workings of programs from a young age, I take joy in constructing my own within several platforms. I would be more than happy to teach those with the same passion for computer science. Languages I have worked on include Java, C++, Ruby and HTML. In regard to teaching these subjects, I have experience in the past teaching elementary school kids how to program their own robots. Your school assignments will seem just as easy to you in no time! I can also offer tutoring for Japanese, having been raised in a Japanese household and attended the San Francisco Japanese Language Class for over 10 years. I was also a teacher aide for AP Japanese at my local high school, so I know firsthand what challenges students' face when learning this particular language. With these experiences, I can teach Japanese like no other tutor can. I look forward to further correspondence!

    About

My Ph.D. is in chemistry and I have previous teaching experience at the college and high school level.

    About

I have master of science degree with physics major. During my long career as optical engineer (about 35 years), I managed numerous companies' interns helping them get their bachelor degree in physical electronics, computer science, etc. I worked individually with each intern training them in math, physics, optical science and special discipline such as optical system, modeling and so on. I trained each intern during six to seven months. I also have given a lot of private tutoring in small group of students (four to five persons) as well as individual training. I helped K-12 and college students with math, physics, science (high school level). I have a lot of methodical materials that I prepared myself. To create this material, I used the different sources like the Internet, material for SAT preparation, specific samples of the problems that was given on math, physics Olympiads. I also created the methodical training materials for tutoring the children ages five and higher. I'm a very patient person, and I trained my own daughter successfully within 15 years! I enjoying working with kids and students. Each time, it's the miracle for me to watch how their brains wake up! How the expression in their eyes changed when they finally realized what is behind the numbers, fractions and math textbook! Ludmila Golyanskaya
