I have been in the construction industry for more than 15 years. My career has taken me from Ireland to London, New York City, and now San Francisco where I've worked on projects ranging from laying concrete foundations for skyscrapers to helping home and business owners redesign and build out both indoor and outdoor spaces. While I specialize in concrete and carpentry by trade, I also have substantive experience in gardening/landscape and stonework. I am a hard, reliable worker and really enjoy tackling challenges - big or small. Most importantly, I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their unique needs. Cian did a great job. He built a wall, did all the drywall work, trim, paint and hung a barn door. All work was done with great craftsmanship and was clean and tidy along the way. Also a good communicator, showed up when he said he would etc.!

I had several doors with a variety of problems. Cian was responsive and asked good questions to be prepared. When he got here, he knew exactly what needed to be done to fix all of the doors and came with the right tools for the job. He was professional and easy to work with, left everything clean and tidy. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I value honesty in pricing conversations and will always do my best to give my clients the best price I can to benefit both of us.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For simpler projects, I want to ensure alignment on timeline, price, and project scope. This can happen over the phone or in-app. For larger, more complex projects, I usually suggest a site visit after initial phone or in-app conversations that elucidate the above. This way I can provide the most accurate estimate in terms of cost and project timeline, as well as identify potential roadblocks the client might not be privy to.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started my career in a 4-year carpentry and cement apprenticeship program. Over the last 15 years, I've gained experience in all aspects of construction. Most importantly, I've gained years of experience managing complex projects and teams to success. As such, I am able to successfully complete small scale projects, but also have the experience and the knowledge to manage large projects that could require coordination across different industries and specialties.
