Having composed and arranged in settings as small as solo instruments and rock groups to his own full-length symphony for 18 musicians, Tyson is adept at teaching to each student's particular needs. He has a degree in music composition, painting, and writing from Whitman College, with a focus on jazz, classical, and 20th century theory and techniques and taught there as well. His recent projects include Soundcave, Elationists, Thelivingpulse, and Chrysalis-foundation.
