I have been exercising with Alex now for 4 years . Alex is extremely attentive, patient and understanding when it comes to your personal fitness. Every session begins with him sincerely asking, How are you feeling today? His kindness is only surpassed by his ability to make you want to give you best during your session. And although hes kind, hes tough when it comes to the work. He expects you to give your all and then some. The words I often dread hearing him say are, Just one more. But he also makes you want to reach inside and give him that one more." We started in-person and moved to video training last year. I sweat just as much if not more by video. If I could give Alex 6 stars I would, he is the BEST. I cannot say enough good things about him as a Personal Trainer. In 2016, I moved from the Bay Area, where I'd been working out with him since 2010, and rather than lose my workouts with him, we gave remote by phone a try. If you have any doubts about this way of working out, you can let them go. Alex has many years of experience and can talk you through everything you need to do. No need to purchase lots of equipment, either - for the first year after I moved, I used gallon water bottles and other household items very successfully, and now I have actual gym-type free-weights, a physio ball, and a floor mat. You could work remotely with him in a regular gym, too, by using FaceTime and some earbuds, if you preferred. Though for myself, doing this stuff in the privacy in my own home is unbelievably luxurious, convenient, and effective. I am in my late 50s and have a variety of physical limitations, but again, Alex knows what to do - when something flares up, we just work around it. In short, Alex is the best trainer you could have, and working remotely with him is a wonderful way to get your work-outs in in and not have to go out into the weather and traffic to do it. I've trained with Alex for 3 years (2 years in person, and 1 online), and he is an incredible trainer and all-around great person. I've had personal trainers in the past who I liked a lot, but Alex is a cut above. His workouts are personalized and always fresh, and he evaluates you each and every time you see him - nothing Alex does is done by rote. He works you out hard. I see him for 30 minutes 2x a week, and I definitely get my money's worth as every one of those minutes is squeezed to the maximum. However, he's also very careful not to push you beyond your limits, and because of his extensive working knowledge of fitness and wellness, helped me discover some tricks for being able to continue working hard.Alex is really accommodating with scheduling, is always on time, and is never distracted. Beyond that, you can just tell that he's a really good person. Alex is a consummate professional who is always on time and completely focused on my state of mind/body and on creating a workout that is tailored for each session. I can't believe how much better - more convenient, less expensive - it is to train online. In particular, I find that I am far more focused and therefore get a better workout when training online vs at a gym. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?$40 per half hour session/ or $80 per hour session. Get a discount when you purchase multiple sessions in advance: 25% discount for five sessions $30 per half hour /$60 per hour when you buy five sessions in advance. 35% discount for ten sessions $25 per half hour /$50 per hour when you buy ten sessions in advance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?The first session is complimentary so you can see if you like my style of ONLINE VIRTUAL training. Each session is based on the needs of the individual at the time of the workout, and usually, there is a warm-up, followed by a workout and then a cooldown. Sessions normally last for a half hour, we get a lot done in a short period of time
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have has over 14 years of professional personal training experience. I am certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and have additional NASM specialist certifications in: Women's Fitness, Senior Fitness, and Youth Exercise. I have additional certification in: Massage Therapy, Life Coaching, Weight Management, Sports Nutrition, Strength Training, Stability Training, Older Adult Populations, Active Aging, Pilates Matwork/Apparatus, Kickboxing, Yoga Fundamentals, Pre/Post Natal Exercise, Youth Exercise, Tai-Chi, and Aquatic Exercise.
