Introduction

Hello prospective students, my name is Rupali and I have been teaching privately, full time for 10 years since receiving my bachelors degree in music from San Francisco State University in 2012. Giving the gift of music to my students has been the best part about teaching. I have a very encouraging approach while challenging students at the same time. My comprehensive and balanced curriculum builds a strong foundation while also having variety. The goal is for students to achieve independent, well rounded musicianship. I am very versatile in what I teach. Genres I teach include: classical, jazz, movie scores, pop, rock, soul, R&B, alternative, folk, contemporary. Skills I teach include: technique, theory, composition, sight reading, and ear training and vocals.

After college I started teaching privately and I absolutely loved giving the gift of music. I love that music and teaching are both very meaningful and fulfilling. I have loved music ever since I was a kid and continued pursuing it throughout my whole life, and I want to share this skill with others. It is a skill that will be valuable for life.
