We're very happy with the work that DeNoise Studio did for our wedding. We decided at the very last minute (like two weeks beforehand) that we wanted video of the ceremony, and once we found Albert, he hit the ground running. His promptness and efficiency came through not just during the planning process but after the wedding itself, as the turn-around on producing the video was only a few days! And the video turned out exactly the way we wanted: a very simple and beautiful portrait of a wonderful hour of our lives. Thanks so much, DeNoise!
We hired Nabor for my son's senior picture photo shoot. He was extremely personable and professional throughout the session. He had an excellent eye for outfits, poses, and lighting that translated into so many proofs that I'm still struggling to choose between them 5 days later! I would highly recommend Nabor for a portrait or headshot session - update your LinkedIn profile today with a professional portrait!
Brian and I worked together to create a portrait image for a tattoo magazine cover. There are many great shots and we had a fun time. I plan to hire Brian in the future as the need arises. He exceeded my expectations.
We just did our family portrait with Sheila. She is amazing!!! She were at location on time and with a happy spirit. She captured beautiful images. We definitely will do business again. I highly recommend her.
It was great working with Diane. Her photos came out beautiful- she is a very talented photographer and great to work with. She was also extremely flexible with schedule which was very helpful. We will definitely be using her again!
I recently moved to California from Toronto, Ontario. My fiancee (now husband) is native Californian so I moved here to be with him. I arrived in May and we set a wedding date for August. For me it was going to be a big challenge moving from one city to another and having to plan a wedding. I found the website thumbtack.com, and this is where I found Martino. After reading all of his reviews, and looking at his work on his website, I decided to give him a call. Martino called me back immediately and was very friendly and professional. At first I just wanted his services for 2 hours, and after thinking about it, I decided that I wanted to hire him for 4 hours. I felt that Marino was EXTREMELY flexible in extending the time frame AND his price was phenomenal. I did a lot of research on photographers in the Bay area, and we almost decided not to hire a photographer. While I was on the phone with Martino, we dicussed what kinds of photos I wanted. (Portrait, candid, etc etc) and he was so accommodating because there were a few shots that I was ADIMATE on him taking (when my husband saw me for the first time in my dress, cake cutting) and he was assuring me that he would take these photos. (By the way, they he stayed true to his word and gave me all the photos that I asked him for and they are just beautiful). On the day of the wedding, he was on the ball. He was there right when he said he would be. He was extremely friendly and really got to know and talk to all of my guests. (I had a small wedding with 45 people) I got married at the Cliff House in San Francisco so having pictures with the ocean was the most important. Although it was EXTREMELY windy, Martino worked some Beautiful photography magic and the photos came out better than I could possibly imagine. The finished product were just beautiful and I Thank you Martino for all of your hard work on our wedding. Now we can re-live the day over with all of your beautiful photos.
I highly recommend Patrick Power! I needed a professional portrait for a legal job application, and I hadn't had one taken in over 20 years. I wanted it to be professional, but also unique. I wasn't sure how to find a photographer, so I just put out a bid on thumbtack. Patrick responded very quickly and with a very reasonable price. I had resigned myself to just getting a studio portrait with a neutral background, but Patrick had the idea of meeting at City Hall to take the photo. I was very nervous and self-conscious about the process. I don't like having my picture taken and I am not very photogenic. It helped that City Hall was full of other photographers taking pictures of brides, grooms, and other people like me, so I didn't really stand out. I had a problem and ended up being pretty late to our meeting, but Patrick was very nice about it. I was sweating like crazy in my suit, but he did a good job of putting me at ease and letting me rest and cool down for a little bit white while he staked out spots to take the photo. He talked with me casually about what I was looking for in the photo, but we also made small talk about our lives and work, so that soon I felt very comfortable with him. As a result, I looked very natural in the photo. Patrick took a lot of shots, and several of them were quite good. I needed the work done on very short notice, including a print. I made the bid on a Sunday, we did the photo shoot on Monday, and I had the print by Tuesday morning. I love the photo, and my family and friends do too. Everyone agreed that not just my appearance, but also my personality comes through in the photo. I will definitely call Patrick again if I need another photo taken in the future!
Andrea did an incredible job photographing my 3-day business seminar called PleasureCEO Live! She worked well within the setting, and managed to capture some precious moments that I can now use well in my marketing materials. I myself am a professional portrait photographer so my standards are quite high, and I highly recommend Andrea for your events!
Eric produced a very professional looking portrait photograph for me. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and was meticulous in adjusting the lighting and the angle to get the right shot. I appreciated his attention to detail, responsiveness, and prompt delivery. Thanks, Eric!
If you’ve been waiting for “that one review” to really prove that Oaktown Boudoir is the way to go- don’t wait anymore! Cheshire Isaacs is a true exemplar of all that a professional boudoir photographer should strive to be. He is open and receptive to his client’s ideas without losing focus. He is honest and genuine without ever being insensitive. He is incredibly professional without ever being stuffy. The Bay Area is filled with Boudoir Photographers, so I guess the best way to write a proper review is to outline what exactly my own (popular) concerns were and how Cheshire proved triumphant! 1. Will I be comfortable? As a young woman, I was a little concerned about being erotically photographed by a man. Having been through a shoot, it’s obvious that Cheshire cares- from his personally designed music playlists (made in the interest of making the experience as comfortable as possible) to his handmade cheese and cracker platters. He continually went above and beyond for my session and I admire his passion, enthusiasm, and dedication. It shows in both his beautiful work and the long-lasting relationships he has with his clients. He spoke about his wife and daughter frequently, something that showed me his appreciation and respect for women, immediately putting me at ease. 2. Can his studio fit more than one “style” of photoshoot? Cheshire’s studio is open, bright, and filled with possibilities. He can transform the space to fit, I kid you not, any personality and style. In a matter of minutes (just enough time to refill a wine glass), his studio can go from a brightly lit angelic state to a dark, sexy, and sultry one. He mentioned having custom-designed the space alongside his wife, something that told me just how invested he was in the style and overall vibe of his studio. For my images in particular, I knew that I wanted little editing and wanted the images to be as “real” as possible. Somehow Cheshire still made it look like I was a model and knew exactly how to manipulate each pose to accentuate all the good and cleverly soften all the bad (without photoshop). 3. Will I get my money’s worth? Whichever amount of time you decide to book Cheshire for, know that not a minute will be wasted. He knows how to get down to business and not waste time while simultaneously not rushing through any poses. This guy was sweating as he climbed up and down ladders, moved heavy couches and bed sets, and adjusted lights. His hard work pays off in the beauty of his finished products! His experience in the field is obvious in the way he can quickly evaluate a pose and make small nuanced changes in position to get a desired look. I am but a poor college student and Cheshire’s prices were definitely better than most photographers around. He could easily charge three times as much for his services and would still be the deal of a lifetime. 4. Will my images be published? Cheshire was very thorough and attentive when listening to what I was comfortable with. He assured me that no images would be posted without explicit approval. In the end, his work was so beautiful that I would have been fine with it being printed on billboards and bus ads- really! 5. What about makeup? Cheshire notified me in one of our first correspondences that he had a partnership with a makeup artist, Thuy, who would be on-site for a small fee. Let me tell you- Thuy is more than simply a makeup artist- she really does it all. Not only did she do an absolutely spectacular job with my makeup, but she was the ultimate hype-woman!!! She stayed for nearly the entire session for touch-ups, glamour, and enthusiastic words of support. The experience wouldn’t have been the same without her. Every person that sees the finished images says, “Wow, I wish I’d done something like this.” Don’t be that person! Don’t wait another day, don’t look for another review, don’t google “Boudoir Photographer” again. Oaktown Boudoir is that good. Doing a boudoir shoot is obviously a large lump sum of money to dedicate to something that isn’t necessarily “necessary,” but my experience with Oaktown Boudoir is something that I will truly treasure for the rest of my life and always reflect on with a smile and a deep, deep appreciation for Cheshire Isaacs! He knows how to make a client feel like a friend, and that’s something you don’t come by often.
Very pleased with Steve's services for my business portrait photos. Excellent profession work. Very detailed and efficient. I have received many complements on the finished product. No hesitation in highly recommending Steve for your photography needs!
Chris was a fantastic event photographer! He was punctual, professional, polite, and his photos are beautiful. He got a ton of great shots both portrait style and candid photos. Love it!
Tri was exceptionally easy to work with, talented, and generous with his time, both in shooting and in retouching. I was looking for a mix of headshots/portraits: something professional, something fun, something that would display youthful charm and something that would display maturity without being stiff. I got exactly what I was looking for, and Tri even encouraged my dad to join in and took some great father/son shots. I am doing a variety of media appearances and speaking engagements, and I feel like I have enough of a variety to choose a portrait that would work for any different kind of engagement, as well as for my social media accounts. I would highly recommend Tri to anyone looking for an incredible portrait from a photographer that will really take the time to get to know you and deliver photos that capture your personality and essence.
Alex and his wife took some family portraits in a park. He has an exeptional instincts on how to have us pose and framing shots. He also edit the photos and they all came out great. I can highly recommend Alex.
He's super easy to work with & doesn't mind others coming along to support & help you with portrait designs! DEFINITELY would recommend to all my friends & family for any photography event
I had the pleasure to have Ananda taking our engagement and wedding pictures.. She is so pleasant to deal with. She is talented and has a good eye. it rained on my wedding day and we had to move everything indoors and it was a bit hectic like any other wedding. So because the photos were all taken indoors ,they were not as crisp and sharp as I wanted them to be ,so Ananda ,being the nice pleasant person that she is offered to take our portrait pictures later on for no extra charge. She is personal, nice, very understanding, and above all very talented.. and it was a pleasure working with her. I would highly recommend her for any event !
We had Nic for a small get together, and he did a great job capturing our event. He reached the location half hour ahead of schedule (to set up) and was very flexible about the timing. He was easy to work with and showed a lot of energy and enthusiasm. He has a great eye and timing for portraits. The best part, he gave us the final product in two days! Definitely recommend hiring him for your next event.
Dennis was wonderful to work with! A real artist. He went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a great photographer in the Bay Area.
Larry gave us a great deal on portraits for the new hires in our office. He was quick to respond and got our pictures back to us in a flash
He had a way of setting up lights that reflected atmosphere and setting. He handled the shoot with my snake beautifully, simultaneously capturing the makeup artist's work while also making my snake a focus of attention.
Ivan was great! In a one hour session I learned so much about lighting and portrait photography. Excited to continue working with him!
