FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we start out with a test. Don't worry there's no studying necessary. We begin by assessing your movement. We may go over some mobility and foam rolling techniques to help correct any movement issues. Then we do a few exercises to get an idea of where we are starting out. From there on the first session is your time. We may start out with a quick workout going over some major exercises and their technique or we may talk about diet. It is up to you how we spend the time. In the next sessions, we introduce many new exercises. You won't even do any exercises that are the same the first month of training. So there should be no worries about being bored. We will go over form and technique and see where you are while building you up. Soon, we will test you again to see how much you've improved. As you progress the exercises become more difficult. By that time you won't even remember what it was like to not be training.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly reading books, getting certified, and attending seminars on exercise techniques that I would like to learn more about and would be beneficial to my clients.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Around 2008, I found myself in a 10-month search for work. I was depressed and inactive during that time and I hadnt noticed it but I had ballooned up to 275 lbs. I decided I needed to make a change and started to workout. It was difficult. Along the way, I tried many exercise programs and diets. Many didn't work but I learned from each trial what worked best and what didn't. Now I strive to help others reach their fitness goals and find what works best for them.
