Introduction: I have performed and enjoyed guitar for over 20 years. Music is my passion. By giving guitar lessons, I hope to assist future guitar players reach their musical goals and enjoy the gift of music.
Since 2004, I have been providing lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. I have had eight-year-old students and 65-year-old students. Whoever you are, I can probably help you start playing. Remember, tons of people can play guitar so you can learn it too!
Every person who decides to pursue guitar playing has different goals and musical tastes. My goal as an instructor is to teach you what you want to learn. I have designed a lesson plan that integrates music theory with any style of playing. By understanding music theory, students improve much faster and can learn to play all styles of guitar.
Lessons are conducted in Sonoma County, CA and can be conducted in your home. Typically, lessons are done from Monday to Saturday, in the afternoon and evenings. Lesson plans are customizable to fit each student's specific musical goals. You will learn your favorite songs on guitar!
Lessons are conducted weekly. Group rates are available.

Ben is very nice, always upbeat and encouraging. He is always on time and works with us if we need to change our lesson. We like that he gets the student's input into the songs they learn. He is a great teacher!

Ben is a fantastic guitar teacher and an all around great guy! He is very encouraging and has worked well with our son, teaching him the basic guitar fundamentals as well as making the lessons fun. Ben works hard to find music the student will enjoy learning. He is prompt for lessons and has been super flexible and willing to work with us when our schedule changed (more than once) and we had to find alternative times for lessons. I highly recommend Ben Williams!

Ben is an excellent and patient guitar teacher. His knowledge of music theory is deep, and his ability to teach in tandem with the musical interests of his students is strong. His lessons are competitively priced, and he is very reliable. A+ all the way.
