Kandis is a top-notch yoga instructor--and I am VERY particular about yoga instructors. She is the only personal yoga instructor I have ever had who thoughtfully explains what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how it impacts the muscles and structure of your body as you do it, too, which I love. Because of this I find myself easily integrating yoga into my day on days I don't see her just because I know what to do and how to do it. She also has a fun personality and you can easily see she actually enjoys teaching yoga which makes the process of doing yoga 10x's more enjoyable. I leave our sessions together feeling so much better energetically and physically than I typically do from yoga. If you are looking for an excellent yoga teacher who is thoughtful, thorough, highly intelligent, fun to work with, who will foster and help you grow your own love of yoga beyond your sessions together, you need Kandis in your life!
I've taken Jackie's classes many times at a number of different studios in SF; each time I learn something new and leave with a good sweat! For me, it's the perfect combination of meditation, stretching, core workout and yoga flow.
Sierra is a wonderful yoga teacher that I have been working with for over 2+ years. Her classes offer a time for students to meditate and calm their minds, as well as stretch their bodies. She's able to adapt positions to help the many different needs of her students. She is quite knowledgeable and constantly learning and sharing her knowledge with her students.
Prior to meeting Jaime, I had only tried yoga four, maybe five times. I’m a cardio junkie and yoga is just so slooooow. If I’m gonna spend 60 minutes exercising, I’d better get sweaty and sore. Enter Jaime. Wonderful, kind, positive, patient Jaime. At our first consultation (which was free of charge) she let me rant about my general yoga skepticism. But she also got me to acknowledge my real, physical pain. Tight hips. Back aches. Knee injury. Standard stuff. After that consultation, Jaime put together a custom plan for us to work through these issues. Which we did, every week. And it turns out, yoga CAN make you sweaty and sore. But I think what I valued most about working with Jaime was her sincerity. Before we started each session, we’d chat about things going on in my life contributing to stress. She’d help me move past them, so I could shake off the day and be present in the moment while we were training. I’m so glad to have met her. I honestly wish we could practice together every day. I would absolutely recommend Jaime to anyone. Especially yoga newbies.
I recommend Heather/Sevika for yoga practice instructor. She is very observant and knowledgable. I have taken yoga with her and co-taught many classes with her. She is very easy to work, companionate and a great communicator.
I had a private Therapeutic Yoga session with Nichol. She has a kind and calming presence and has a strong knowledge of yoga. I felt safe and at ease through the whole session. I am also a yoga teacher and can be critical of the yoga experience. I left my session with Nichol feeling like relaxed and revitalized. I slept better that evening than I had in months. I would recommend Nichol to anyone looking for a truly wonderful yoga experience.
I have known Alia for a very long time now and worked with her for about two years. She was the perfect trainer for me because of her background in Yoga. I have back and knee problems from when I played soccer and Volleyball and she was very responsive to that and knew all the right workouts and stretches. She kicked my butt with out out hurting me further. So if you are someone who has any kind of back problem or anything really she can work around that! Thank you Alia for your service and pushing me to be my best :)
Regina was amazing to work with! She immediately recognized things about my body that I've been struggling to identify for years. She gave me clear and specific tools that I can apply as I develop my own practice and attend other group classes. Stephanie is an excellent yoga teacher. She works well with beginners, as well as more advanced students. She is wonderful at sequencing her classes, moving you from one pose to another. Her feedback is invaluable. Sometimes, just a slight adjustment, can make all the difference. I highly recommend Stephanie!
I have been practicing yoga for about ten years, and Rebecca is by far the most gifted and compassionate teacher I have worked with. I've taken both classes and private sessions with Rebecca over the past 3 years and she always makes yoga fun, challenging, and therapeutic for me. She has a thorough understanding of the human body, and she is very aware of students' comfort levels and emotional needs. (She emphasizes that our bodies are beautiful and powerful. Who doesn't need some more body positivity in their life?) I would highly recommend her to yogis of any experience level!
Mariana provides a highly personalized experience that makes me feel real progress. I initially started working with her because I wanted to push myself during workouts, but was amazed at how her focus on form, breathing, and nutrition have pushed me to another level. I used to think the formula was all 'no pain, no gain' - Mari helped me focus on new habits (like static stretching and yoga) that help me recover faster and perform stronger. I have been working with her for over 1.5 years and can confidently say she helped get me to my prime athletic condition. Cannot reccomend enough!
For me, Ericka is one of those people that you feel fortunate when you cross paths with them in life. I met Ericka when she started teaching yoga at my company twice a week more than two years ago. She is easily relatable, down to earth and doesn't take her self too seriously - but she definitely knows her yoga. Our class is a great combo of folks who take yoga seriously and folks who are there for work yoga. I appreciate how she tries to tailor each class based on what types of ailments each of us have that day. But more than that, Ericka has been a friend and an awesome teacher for me personally, so if you have the chance to meet her and work with her - I would highly recommend it. Gabe

I have multiple orthopedic problems and when I attended a yoga class with Sherry she was so knowledgeable in guiding me into positions which would not aggravate my hip and back pain and didn't make me feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. I really enjoyed her class.

I wish to offer dance and yoga/stretch to all who love movement. The training will take place in an informal atmosphere. The yoga is inspired by Ashtanga yoga, but will be a mix of different kinds of yoga poses and stretching and will be a mild/easy yoga class. There will be sun salutation, standing poses, and yoga poses performed while lying or sitting. The dance, which will consist of flowing and harmonious warm up based on elements from contemporary dance (floor work, warm up, small dance compositions). The training will take place in an informal atmosphere at a beginner and intermediate level. My name is Tina, and I want to create a personal space where you can find peace, quietness, and enjoyment of dancing and yoga. I have been dancing since I was young and done Danish rhythmical gymnastics but in my mid-twenties, I began to be interested in the world of dance and that's where I draw inspiration from. I have danced with Gaardbo Dance by Anja Gaardbo, Sceneindgangen by Jenny Major in Copenhagen/DK, and more recently at Shawl Anderson Dance Center Berkely, CA.
