My wife and I recently bought a house and were looking to do an extensive remodel before we moved in, including all new flooring, interior paint, 3 bathrooms (including master down to studs), kitchen (down to studs), a new pantry, and refaced cabinets in laundry room and hallway. We researched 4 different contractors sourced through Home Advisors and ultimately settled on A-List. We ultimately went with them based on their professionalism, their detailed estimate, a weekly schedule, and their thoughtful POV on the changes we were considering.Once the job kicked off, David was our project manager and we also dealt with Niv on occasion. David was exceptional in his communication and throughout the nearly 4-month project he always made himself available for any questions and concerns including going with us to pick out materials. When issues did arise (which they always do), David was quick to address them to our satisfaction. What we really appreciated was that while we had a good sense of what we wanted to do with the kitchen and the master bathroom, A-List brought in a designer that worked closely with us to visualize a full rendering of a final product that went a long way towards helping my wife and I make sure we were getting what we wanted and everyone was on the same page.While the completion date was slightly delayed from the original communication, Ben stepped in immediately made it right which we were grateful for since we were still in the middle of COVID. There were minimal surprises during the job itself and ultimately the whole project came in on the budget they originally quoted us (outside of some minor changes we requested).Now that we moved in and have had some time to experience our new home, my wife and I absolutely love the professional and competent work that A-List did. The full remodel turned out fabulous and we couldn't be happier with our new home.We are demanding clients and A-List worked hard to earn our satisfaction, which they did. We would definitely work with A-List again and would recommend them to friends (which we have already done).

A-List has worked on several projects for me over the last few years. I originally hired A-List for a fairly large restoration project. The project involved wall replacement with framing and drywall, stucco, exterior and interior painting, foundation reinforcement, a new exterior gate, fence repair, brick and tile walkways. Ben was the only contractor I interviewed who recommended that an engineer inspect the foundation as part of the evaluation process. This was an insurance project and Megan cheerfully worked through the process with my insurance company. All of the on-site workers were a pleasure to work with. They arrived early, were professional, and kept the work-site clean and organizedeven the city inspector commented positively about A-Lists knowledge and organization. A-List Builders did a great job and their follow-up was excellent. They have since worked on several other projects and they always did a great job.

I just bought a new condo and it needed a ton of work before I could even move in. It was important to me to find a company that could get my project started but also complete the work in a timely fashion so that I could move in ASAP. When I first met with Ben and Rani there schedule was packed and even though I really like them we weren't sure if we could get things done as quick as I wanted. Luckily they were able to make some accommodations and get the ball rolling. I had some reservations because I felt I was being squeezed in, however I took my chance and I couldn't be happier. We completed two bathrooms, my kitchen, flooring throughout the unit, complete repaint, added some lighting throughout, added a washer and dryer, and few more small projects all in about 8 weeks. The guys were all courteous and very helpful in explaining to me how things were going to be done. Ben and rani kept me informed every step of the way and they also helped me choose materials (which was not easy!). These guys are a pleasure to work with, i will definitely recommend them to friends and family and if I ever have another project, they will be my first call!

Like so many people in LA we bought a fixer upper and you know, love hopes all things. But over the last 5 years we have searched intently for a contractor we could trust. Someone we could talk to that would understand our ideas and add their wisdom to our projects. We have been lied to, ripped off and even had gold stolen from our home by one contractor himself while onsite. Doing renovations on our property is such intimate work and so often we end up giving access to our lives and homes to people that we never otherwise would and it usually doesn't go like we believed it would. Never has a contractor come on our property that affected us the way Ben & Megan from A-List Builders have. They immediately understood our needs and made brilliant suggestions. They answered every question, every call and it was such a difference dealing with them than any company weve ever hired before. They did not waste a minute of our time, nor did they try to get us to do more than we wanted. Their pricing is more than fair. They are so good at what they do and completely trustworthy and make hard things so much easier. As a resident of LA I just wanted to let as many people as possible know that its not impossible!
