- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Standard private lessons are $79 for a 55-minute lesson. Packages of 5 are available for $355. And there is never a separate "floor fee"! Group classes (for swing) run $75 for 6 weeks.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll ask a new dancer questions to find out their goals. A bride and groom, for example, may want simply to get over their fear of dancing and get comfortable, or may want to really wow their guests with something unusual. Depending on their experience and goals, we can make a plan together.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've trained with many of the best West Coast Swing dancers in the world. Been certified as a swing competition judge with both the National Dance Dynamics Certification Board and the Independent Dance Professionals Association. Teaching dance in Ventura since 1994, voted favorite dance teacher in the VC Reporter twice. My husband and I have competed and been awarded in both country and swing competition. We were inducted as a couple into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame in 2014.
