I have been taking voice lessons from Donna Parsons for more than 4 months now. I had never taken voice lessons before I began with Donna, but I knew I needed a good voice coach to teach me the mechanics of singing. I had basically taught myself by imitating other singers, which had caused me to develop several bad habits through the years. It became evident that I needed to improve when I began auditioning for theater roles, and I was NO MATCH for the trained singers I was auditioning against. I was looking for someone to help improve my sound overall by teaching me how to maintain flow of lines while singing, increase breath support, increase my vocal range, and ease onto notes so my singing didn't sound forced or labored, but controlled. She has helped me do all of those things and more! From the first day she made me feel like I had the potential to be fantastic! Every week I feel like I make progress or learn something. She has an entire repertoire of teaching techniques that are creatively designed to teach all types of learning styles so that you can visualize and better understand her lessons. She is truly amazing! I would go into detail, but I don't want to give any of her secrets away. Bottom line is that you will NOT find a better, or more experienced teacher, and she is MORE THAN WORTH the price of her lessons! She really genuinely cares for each one of her students as singers and people. You don't get that kind of personal feel from most instructors. I am so glad that I found Donna!
She is a true professional with a wonderful positive attitude. She contacted me right away and figure out a perfect time and date that would work for my voice lessons. I would definitely book again.
Cosima is a very personable and knowledgeable vocal coach. Her demeanor is comforting yet encouraging when working through those "rough notes". In the short time we have been taking lessons from her, she has given my son much needed confidence to navigate his changing voice. We are very happy to have found Cosima!
My daughter has been taking voice lessons from Brittany since age 5. She is always so patient and really terrific with the kids. My daughter just adores her and always looks forward to her lessons. She is also part of Brittany's vocal performance group which is teaching her to sing with a group and harmonize. Brittany gives the kids a lot of opportunities throughout the year to get on stage and sing, including at Knott's Berry Farm and Disneyland! Her professionalism is second to none, and we have referred several people looking for a vocal coach. I am positive it will be a great experience for anyone looking to grow as a vocalist.
Sarah is an absolutely amazing vocal coach! She is very skilled in assessing your voice and letting you know how you can improve as well as encouraging what you are doing right. She is able to give not only the basics in vocal training, but also advanced technique and mastery in performance. She does not try to mold you into a particular style or bent, but she takes each person where he or she wants and needs to go vocally to sound the best. She has a solution for each problem that presents itself in one’s vocal journey. In the three years I have studied with her, I have improved so much, and I am constantly impressed with the information she shares at each lesson. Her knowledge base is vast and very insightful. She has helped me to develop a vibrato, which is something I had always admired in others but had never possessed. She has also given me instruction in how to sing in different styles, forward vs. back, nasal vs. non-nasal, breathing, lower core support, diaphragm support, blending the lower range into the higher range, strengthening the larynx for a stronger voice, removing muscle tension in shoulders, back, jaw, and tongue, pitch control and correction, tone quality, open throat, awakening multiple resonating chambers, and many other issues. She has encouraged creativity by allowing me to personalize and stylize, which has been very helpful for me to really connect emotionally with each song. I have grown to absolutely love singing, and more importantly, I really love what I can do with my voice now. I really look forward to my voice lesson each week! Even if you have had many years of vocal instruction or are already an established vocalist, I would highly recommend at least six months with her to glean what you can to improve your voice or your performance. You will definitely not be disappointed!
I decided to take vocal lessons after my second year of law school, for stress relief. I'm super shy when I sing, so I'm really happy I found Pilar! She's understanding, patient, and encouraging. She has great explanations, helpful exercises, and fun unexpected tricks to get you out of your head when you're overthinking things! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!
I received voice lessons from Javon a few months ago and was looking to develop breathing techniques and voice control. He came prepared with different exercises for vocal strengthening and I definitley saw a difference in the way I sing. Now when I sing with my praise team I am much more confident and feel like the breathing techniques he demonstrated really helped with that (a lot of people started to notice the difference). He is very professional and is a master at his musical gift.
I highly recommend Juan for voice lessons. I have sung all my life but wanted to learn more technique to improve and Juan has helped a lot. He is very professional and talented. I can notice many improvements since he started teaching me.
I have had only one voice lesson with Jennifer Wilcove and I can honestly say she has been more thorough when it came to technique then any of my other vocal instructors.
I am a tenor and I have been singing and taking voice lessons from other instructors for more than 25 years. In my very first lesson with Kathryn, I learned new techniques that enabled me to work on extending my upper range without straining or injuring my voice. I am very pleased and encouraged to keep practicing and working.

I started taking piano lessons from Mark Peterson when I was ten. With his methods, I learned to be an advanced player in just three years. I owe my understanding and love of music to him. He has exceptional musical knowledge and skill, with vast experience performing a variety of styles in a variety of musical situations. I recommend him highly to anyone who wants to learn piano, voice, or composition.

In 2010, I received my bachelor of arts in classical voice from California State University San Bernardino. Then I continued my education and received my master of music in classical voice from Manhattan School of Music and graduated in 2012. Currently, I teach music part-time at a Catholic School in Covina and sing every Sunday as the soprano soloist for Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona. I believe in a healthy and natural approach to singing. I also believe that a singer should be trained in music theory, rhythm and ear training. I teach both of these essential aspects in my lessons. During the 2007-08 academic year, I studied abroad in Southern Germany through CSUSB's International Program. For an entire year, I studied the German language while I continued my studies in voice. The summer between my master's degree, I studied in Florence, Italy. Those days were spent eating, breathing, learning the Italian language and way of life. I share both of these experiences with you because as a classical soloist, it is required that you sing and preferably speak in as many languages as possible. With time spent in both these beautiful countries, I had the opportunity to completely embrace the culture and language. I realize you may not want to be a classical singer; however, if you learn the technique of one, I guarantee you can sing any type of music you please. You see, in Opera there are no microphones or anything to enhance the volume of one's voice. Therefore, one has no choice but to do it correctly. My goal as your teacher will be to help you understand your voice and for you sing to the best of your ability, with a healthy and natural technique.
I teach voice, piano, guitar and acting. I also offer tutoring sessions for basic theory and music history. If you are in need of a coach or tutor, let me know.
