They did a great job. There was confusion in the beginning because the quote said "one bedroom and one bathroom". As soon as I got the quote about a week before the appointment I confirmed with them that they understand it's a move out cleaning for a 4 bedroom and 3.5 bathroom home as well as full kitchen cleaning. they responded that they understood. When they arrived today (a week later) at the appointment, they were surprised that it was a 4 bedroom / 3.5 bedroom home and a move out cleaning. I showed them the email/message correspondence that I was very clear, even still they informed me that the price would be double to cover the full house. I was in a tight spot because I needed to be out today. My option was to just clean it myself as I usually do (but had other things going on that prevented that), or hire someone else on the spot. I agreed to the additional cost. To be fair, even the double amount was still a great price for the work. The worked from about 11:45 until about 5:45. The house was spotless. They got the windows, blinds, ceiling fans, oven, microwave, fridge as well as bathrooms, bedrooms, closets, etc. They did a fantastic job and it smelled great in the house. We actually ended up giving them about $40-50 extra on top. They are worth the money, just make sure what you want is clear ahead of time or have them come out and look first to give a quote. Great job. I'd use their services again.

What can I say about Annie. My four boxer girls are absolutely in love with her. At the mere mention of Annie's name they are at the garage waiting for her arrival every morning. Whether my boxer girls are being walked or Annie is sitting with them I know that they are safe and secure. I would recommend Annie in a heartbeat to anyone. Annie he is not just a dog walker or a sitter she is much more. The care, compassion and love that she has for my boxer girls is amazing. My boxer girls deserve the best and Annie is the best!!

I’m so glad I have found Trina to be my pet sitter. She is very reliable, trustworthy, and professional. I am a nurse and work 12 hour shifts 3 days a week so Trina comes to my house to take my little chihuahua potty, feed her, and keep her company. I know my little fur baby is in good hands while I am away and best of all, I know that I can trust Trina in my home. Not to mention her rates are amazing, especially when I leave on vacation! I always book her to spend the night at my house to pet sit and house sit! So awesome! I would recommend Trina to anyone. You won’t be disappointed!

She asked all the right questions and understood my requests perfectly, even adjusting the price to match my expectations. I am chuffed.

Angie is heaven sent. My two dogs greet her with so much love & joy, it makes my heart sing! She has been so helpful with dogsitting at my place and even more extraordinarily with helping me get started with my very own dog walking service in Los Angeles. I learned so much from her example. Angie is the kind of person who has driven to Mexico from California to get much needed affordable veterinary care for a cat who turned up on her doorstep. She helped a traumatized pitbull recover in her home when he crossed her path and soon after she adopted him. She also helped me with an insurance claim when I worked with a rescue dog who got into an incident. Angie is a resourceful, reliable, trustworthy person and you can add all the virtues on her name and those will ring true.

Sam has always done a great job pet sitting my two dogs, as well as providing daily walks and playtime for them. He's a true animal lover and now he is the only one I trust him with "my babies" for their daily care and overnight care when needed.

I have 4 purry furry cats aging from 6 to 16 years old. I hate going away because I always think my babies are going to fall victim to something horrible and I won't be there for them. They all have different personalities and needs that require a personal touch. My youngest has to play a while each day or she will try to turn my nervous and timid Calico Manx into a confetti colored chew toy. Bunny, the Manx, has issues with her stomach and has a special diet. When she is spooked she pees, that is something I want checked by someone knowledgeable about cats. My boy cat had kidney surgery last summer and it's necessary to make sure he isn’t having pain or appetite issues. Our eldest cat conscripts the others into shenanigans and this often means we come home to find that she has discovered a food we didn’t know was available and made it into a buffet. She is small, looks innocent, but is wily with a plan in the works every moment. These are the reasons I can't just drop and go, I need to know they are cared for or I can't enjoy my time away. I am afraid they will change the locks and rule the roost if we don’t feed them routinely. I can’t take the chance the freeloaders won’t get into trouble if left alone or to the care of someone who just comes by to fill their dishes. Lori gave me the best price quote on Thumbtack and had a great conversation with me via messages making my selection easy. She arrived at our home and met with my husband and furries to go over our routine and meet each of our cats a few days before we left. She was well loved by our more social kitties and my husband said she had great vibes. Good vibes is important to me because I want someone who is compassionate taking care of my babies. While we were away Lori came 3 times a day to feed, play, and clean their box. After every visit she sent me a photo and a status update. She replied promptly when I had comments or questions leaving me feeling like everything was under control. It meant everything to me to hear her tell me what she had experienced in each visit because she was caring for what is most important in my life: my family. When I arrived home there was a note from her with a kind message about her enjoyment in caring for my cats, saying how beautiful and sweet they are (they had her fooled because she didn’t mention sly and devious). Our big Angora was so soft when we came home I was convinced she had spent most of her visits petting him. He confirmed this suspicion when he kept by the door waiting for her to return rather than joining me for Mommytime. The cost of our sitting and care was cheap in my opinion. It was obvious that Lori and Pawprints aren’t trying to take advantage of our need for a sitter by trying to nickel and dime us. Some of the quotes I received for caring for my cats was astronomical for 3 days, one was over $400 for 9 visits. Our entire weekend of Lori’s incredible care cost us only $175. Before we moved we had a fantastic sitter who was comparable in care fees and care quality we just received from Pawprints. We are truly blessed to have found Lori, as we were to find Ashley previously. I will be using Pawprints service in the future and I feel so much more confident to go places knowing Lori will be caring for my babies.

About

We are pet sitters and dog walkers in Chula Vista, Bonita, San Diego and Imperial Beach areas. We offer clients peace of mind during their vacations and while they work with regular updates on the welfare of their fur babies. We've been in business since 2010 and currently employed 4 sitters who have a passion for animals and their wellbeing. Each visit includes a walk, feeding, play time and litter/backyard cleanup. We will also take in your mail, water your plants and switch around the lights to make your house look lived in. We do not offer boarding or overnight visits, bu we do come late at night (9pm) and early in the morning (7am). We are licensed, bonded and insured for your peace of mind. We use scheduling software so your pet's visits are never forgotten and all the walks are GPS tracked and an email is sent to you with the route of our walk and length of visit. You won't find that kind of dedication to service from anyone else, but our pet sitters.

About

I provide house- and pet sitting while the client is away from home. Backyard and housecleaning are also provided. Please contact me for further details. Thank you.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is house sitting?

A house sitter watches your house while you are away for work or vacation, or if you have to be away for an extended period. House sitters can also provide pet-sitting services, staying in your home and caring for your pet while you are away. The house sitter can say overnight in your home while you’re gone, or stop by once a day to ensure everything is in order if your pet doesn’t need overnight supervision. Reptiles and most cats are just fine with daily visits and feeding.

House sitting provides major advantages to the homeowner. A regular presence in your house deters break-ins and theft. Home safety issues such as water leaks get noticed and dealt with right away, so you don’t come home to big problems. A house sitter can bring in your mail daily, care for your houseplants, and provide home safety and peace of mind.

How do I find a reliable house sitter?

House sitting can help keep your home safe and well cared for so you can be worry-free while you’re away for work or play. There are several steps you can take to make sure you hire a trustworthy house sitter and do your part to be a responsible host. One of the best ways to ensure a safe home is to hire a professional house sitter. Here are some key points to look for when hiring a house sitter:

  • Reviews and referrals: When searching for a house sitter, always read reviews. Previous experiences will indicate how the house sitter will care for your home while you’re away.
  • Contract: Sign a clearly written contract outlining services to be provided (e.g., mail in each day by 5 p.m.), the daily rate you are paying, and how long the services will be provided. You can also include any agreed-upon house rules in the written contract.
  • Your part: Leave important phone numbers (vet, emergency contact, etc.) and information on where to find emergency items like the circuit breaker and the fire extinguisher, and have a credit card on file with the veterinarian in case of emergencies if the house sitter is watching your pets.
