Introduction: I am dedicated to my students. They come first. Teaching is the most gratifying profession I have ever experienced. Many performers teach because they have to, not because they want to. I have a knack for hearing what needs to be worked on and knowing how to communicate exactly what you need to do. I work with metaphoric images as well as clear descriptions and demonstrations of muscular effort so you know what to do. Many voice teachers insist on teaching only classical music. Though I use tried and true methods, I tailor my instruction to your needs and musical preferences. I love the variety of students and the challenges they present. I am never bored - in fact I lose track of time when I teach. I'm usually "in the zone" and 100% engaged with my student and their process at any given moment. When you "get" and demonstrate a concept I am as thrilled as you are!

I worked with Linda Combellick for about 5 years throughout high school. She was phenomenal not only in improving and developing my vocal technique, but also preparing me for various performances in school and church, and for my college auditions. Her teaching helped me receive vocal scholarships at my current school. She is fun in lessons, but she also ensures that you learn a lot and build repertoire. Finally, besides being a great teacher, she is a kind and easygoing person who is an absolute joy to know.

Amazing teacher! My 9 year old daughter is currently getting piano and voice lessons with Ms. Combellick. For the past year and a half. We love her teaching style and are impressed with my daughters progress. Ms. Combellick takes time to make sure my child understands. Very good with children and accommodating for schedule changes.

I have enjoyed having my daughter work with Linda. She has helped me daughter with several auditions, including giving her some dancing tips in addition to the vocal training, which helped my daughter feel more comfortable during school auditions. She has been a great supporter of my daughter, encouraging and caring about how things are going in her life, not just with music. Vocally, she is helping my daughter expand her range, and discover her vibrato! We are very happy with Linda!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $60/hr for my services. Lessons range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes depending upon the needs and level of ability of the student. Lessons are paid for by the month, not the lesson, and payment is due prior to the beginning of the month. Discounts are given for 1. Payment in quarters rather than monthly 2. Daytime hours between 9 and 3 3. Proven financial need
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Constantly! I still get private coaching in voice and piano. With music, there is never an end to the learning. It's truly an exciting field of study. I avidly read my professional journals, attend conferences, go to performances, and explore various questions that come up in my teaching.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began teaching a few folks here and there while I was still in school. I had so much fun, I knew it was for me! I had done the Dinner Theater Circuit for 10 years, and for me, this was more meaningful and fulfilling than performing.
